Bottles of Desperados - lager with tequila - is also pretty special, although quite difficult to come by unfortunately I forgot Franziskaner - a fine german white beer, again a little difficult to find in this country but Time Bar has started selling it in bottles

The tax was first put on beer to make people drink a certain type. It used to be only drank by kings and the upper class. Mead and porter was once the popular drink. lookwhaticando Posted 13 April 2007 Posted 13 April 2007 I don't think many of the "domestic" beers.... because they all taste like piss. That rules out crap like Canadian & Blue for a start... as well as Bud, Keith's, Miller, and so on and so forth... I don't mind the occasional Rickard's Red, that's quite a nice brew. I prefer my beer to be imported, like. Bass and Guinness are two regularly purchased bevies. I also drink Strongbow occasionally, though that's not exactly beery. Special mention to Stella, Carlsberg Red, Pedigree & definitely Old Speckled Hen. Love the Old Speckled. Top three would be Old Speckled, Guinness and Bass... the rest follow. No particular order, really.
