Worth bearing in mind that this Derbyshire side have improved over the winter - and their attack's had an upgrade on last week's win too now Tickner's back.

 

Need to stop Jewell and the inevitable Madsen when they get in!

We've obviously got a good score but I do wonder whether we might have needed 500 on this wicket. The fast scoring rate led to some careless dismissals and we know Madsen is nailed on for 150 for them.

Dont think we can grumble at 400 in a day after being put in.

Both our overseas players contributed today and if we can get upto 450 then I'll fancy us to get a first innings lead.

Our bowling attack is better than there's and hopefully Ahmed can start to contribute with the ball as the pitch is doing a bit.

Good position to be in at this point. Piles the pressure on them to score as well and whilst they have the runs in that batting lineup, I don't think they can score them at the same pace.

Was around 480 for the opening match against Sussex last year so yes slight improvement but considering the weather and  Derby had  a good few supporters at the game not that much difference

Im not saying we would be anywhere close to that as we wouldn't but we are also £75 more expensive than Essex.
