Four signings i heard. Could be wrong. Here is number 2 Josh Davey.

Ben Green and Kasey Aldridge incoming. Might be bullshit. They were right about the first pair.

Swear I read Handscomb say he doesn't really want to keep but does it as a good club man.

or is that Hill.

Wouldn't have had to keep at all this season if it hadn't been for the outrageous decision to drop Cox for two champ games

I’m hoping Tattersall is Swindells’ replacement, he is a bizarre signing though. Davey I’m pleased with, adds valuable experience with Wright possibly leaving after this season. Green and Eskinazi will be the more exciting additions.

Wouldn't be surprised if we make a short term loan signing for a spinner. I'm assuming Trevaskis is injured? Can't see why else he wouldn't have played.

Looked fit enough in the warm ups

Yep, the Cricketer magazine confirms it's Davey, Tattersall, Green and Eskinazi.

I have to say, slightly underwhelmed, not improving the 11 really if at all. Cox is surely leaving which is sad, green in perm is vital though

Josh Davey is very good. Excellent Stats and a brilliant fielder despite his age.  Other two as you say not sure.

Why is this a nailed on thought.

We have one keeper on our books and now two others who are happy to do it partime.

I think that's fine tbh. If Tattershall plays be as a bat. Only ever keep with injuries.

I just thought cox was playing well and got dropped randomly and now we are signing more keepers. Its not nailed on but just think it’s a fair few players to keep happy. There are players tgat are leaving bigger clubs becuase they are not getting loads of cricket, on the face of it, it doesn’t look like they would be getting straight in here, especially with cox here.

Josh Davey plays most games for Somerset, but a 3 year contract is a good offer at his age. Green we know about and he wants to play all forms of cricket. Tattersall is getting no cricket at Yorkshire and will probably at least get games here in the one-day cup or when we have injuries. Eskanzi, we don't know details of the deal, but he plays most games for Middlesex and is involved in The Hundred, so wouldn't be available for the one-day cup and might also end up T20 Captain, who knows. Kimber is out of contract this year, is that correct? So he may not be here next season.

Posted before but in comparison with Tattersal:

Eskinazi last few seasons:

County Champ:

2025 (D2): 4 games avg 37 with 2 50s

2024 (D2): 5 games avg 30 with 1 50

2023 (D1): 10 games avg 18 with 1 50

T20/Hundred:

2025: 14 games avg 35 with 4 50s

2024: 15 games avg 19 with 0 50s

2023: 26 games avg 31 with 5 50s

Tattersall:

County Champ:

2025 (D1): 2 games avg 13 with 0 50s

2024 (D2): 14 games avg 40 with 2 200s and 2 50s

2023 (D1): 9 games avg 21 with 1 50

T20

2025 + 2024: Didn't play

2023: 12 games avg 14 0 50s

Really not seeing what either bring beyond experience and a decent 20 record for the former.

I believe Kimber is out of contract come the end of the season and will have plenty of offers on his reputation alone. I'd let him go though.

Looks like Ezkinazi will replace Kimber as mainly a white ball specialist, Davey will replace Wright and Tattershall will replace Swindells as back up keeper. None of this addresses the biggest concern we have with the squad ie the lack of high quality top order red ball batsmen. We've got away with this in Div 2 as we have loads of good all rounders but Div 1 is likely to be less forgiving.

Suspect we’ll be in the market for a gun overseas bat

Very funny watching Rehan bowl 8 absolute peaches in the h*****d then drag a howler down on the 9th which gets a wicket in the deep. Life of a leggy

Going well with the bat now as well. It wouldn't surprise me if he gets picked up by the IPL if he keeps this up.
