Fox in a Box Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 With Roberto Mancini (godlike) being at the helm at Inter, surely we should be tapping him up for some of his fringe talent, or some of the old boys... or even better MM should be looking at at tie up with a foreign club that can be of mutual benefit. We should be looking at a bigger picture if (when) if we stay up this year, and moving on up to at least top 6, you cant buy quality at this level but loans would be a good option

Unless, of course, you are talking about the young players, in which the same probably applies

Simi Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 A connection with a club would be a good idea. We've seen this year with teams like Stoke that loans can do you a lot of benifit. Football-Rumours did say something about a connection with Arsenal.

Simi Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Don't be so disgusting!!! IF Arsenal want to keep themselves 'English' then maybe they could have some of our English talent. Which is...erm..
STUHILL Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 I reckon a team in the championship would be ideal for sum of the young gunners to join on season long loans. It's very physical andf competitive and great experience for a youngster to get to grips with the pace and physical aspect of english football. That would be ONE of the positives of maybe having Steve Clarke as manager, he could set up a loan system with Chelsea, where we got a number of their talented youngsters! You see very few clubs having a number of players on loan from one club though! Usually, it is a number of players from different clubs!
Ricey Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Brazilian club plz. Wouldn't happen, the younger players would never get work permits.

Manwell Pablo Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 I can just see it now, Leicester sign Santiago Herman Solari on a seasons long loan (No doubt Thracian would be against it)
Ozwin Posted 26 April 2007 Posted 26 April 2007 Wouldn't happen, the younger players would never get work permits. Stupid law and their permits and things.

I think even plymouth have a better chance being twinned with gunners than us Id love for us to be twinned id have to think about which club would best suit our needs.
Fox in a Box Posted 27 April 2007 Author Posted 27 April 2007 Well done on another fantastic thread, FIAB. whats that supposed to mean? Ive done nothing wrong, Scoweh, (hows palace you city reject?)
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 whats that supposed to mean? Ive done nothing wrong, Scoweh, (hows palace you city reject?) I think what he's saying is something along the lines of........ There is more chance of Roberto Mancini and Matt Elliott starring in a Gay porn film than Leicester setting up a link with Inter Milan.

Manwell Pablo Posted 27 April 2007 Posted 27 April 2007 it would better than linking up with La Courna thou eh Erm, yes it would. But unfortunatley, we aren't going to do either.

Also, apparently (according to Ince) the owner Moratti I think his name is, is like a "father" to him he has quoted as saying and they always get each other pressies at birthdays and Xmas. I may be wrong but I think he is god-father to one of Inces kids too?? Anyway, any link with a big club is great as it usually guarantees you a pre-season friendly and decent loanees. I personally would prerfer to raid the big clubs in England for loanees though as at least many of them have already aclimatized to our conditions and know a bit of the lingo already!
