Daggers Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Oral sex linked to throat cancerA virus contracted through oral sex is the cause of some throat cancers, say US scientists. HPV infection was found to be a much stronger risk factor than tobacco or alcohol use, the Johns Hopkins University study of 300 people found. The New England Journal of Medicine study said the risk was almost nine times higher for people who reported oral sex with more than six partners. Full article

Alexikokopops Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Well if I'm getting throat cancer through oral sex anyway I can carry on smoking care free, hooary!! (I'm chosing to ignore any other cancers caused by smoking, it makes things so much easier).
lookwhaticando Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 I saw the link to the article on the BBC Website and thought to myself: bet someone's posted that already. These medical studies take the fun out of everything. Before long, there'll be no good wholesome fun left any more, that doesn't carry the risk of certain death. This study blows.

Wonder if it'll be on the 6pm news?
Rincewind Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 How do you get to be a researcher in one of these surveys and how much does it pay? Must be more than my job.
Simi Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 How do you get to be a researcher in one of these surveys and how much does it pay? Must be more than my job. You do seem very angry lately. Almost every post I read contains ' '
Rincewind Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 I would use another smiley but the best of the happy ones are in the more tab.

Pft, another study that sucks. Always someone out to spoil the 'wholesome' fun. Surely someone must have carried out a similar study that proves that oral sex has certain, erm, health benefits... jaw mobility, for example.
Rincewind Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Well it stops the woman from mentioning the ceiling needs painting so it has benifits financially.
Daggers Posted 10 May 2007 Author Posted 10 May 2007 Surely someone must have carried out a similar study that proves that oral sex has certain, erm, health benefits... jaw mobility, for example. As if any woman needed help with her "jaw mobility"!
Geo V Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Set reminder.... Must keep the missus away from the tabloids tomorrow.
lookwhaticando Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 It can't be too long before they tell us sex proper is downright dangerous. Then where will we be?
Blue Fox Posted 10 May 2007 Posted 10 May 2007 Think about oral sex, is it hot in here or is it just me?
Smudge Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 It's comforting to read that my tadger will never suffer throat cancer. <_<
AoWW Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 As if any woman needed help with her "jaw mobility"! Granted... my jaw's pretty mobile already.
Zingari Posted 11 May 2007 Posted 11 May 2007 after reading about this, i called in at the vets today and told him about my dog who is always licking his b*lls, and asked him if he was in any danger; he said no as long as he wasn't doing it in the middle of the road
