Ric Flair Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 Walker Maybury Heath Dabizas Stewart Gillespie Gudjonsson Williams Tiatto MDV Connolly Subs: Stearman, Hughes, Scowcroft, Hirchfield, Dublin I know that MDV will be on the bench and wank boy will be in the team, but the team above is what I would like to see. Stearman and Hughes both coming on in the second half to install some flamboyance.
Scow Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 It will be exactly the same as Reading. Looking forward to seeing MDV and Hughes, I'm sure they'll both make an appearance in the second half, providing everything is going to plan... Unfortunately, it looks like Makin will be on the bench instead of Stearman. <_<
Simon Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 I wouldn't be so sure- Stearman must surely be knocking on the door now- if not banging it down!
Mark Posted 3 February 2005 Posted 3 February 2005 He's sticking with the same team No change up front

He also didn't play in the westerby cup but all the other young'uns did. I can't see any ****ing reason why Stearman isn't getting a look in, Levein isn't being true to his word at the minute as we're winning again and he said that would be the time he'd introduce the youngsters which I find odd as he doesn't change his team when we win?!

But Levein said he would introduce the youngsters when we starting winning games! So I was just responding to his theory now we are winning games, will the youngsters now get a chance? I doubt it as you shouldn't dismantle a winning team. But Stearman deserves to be on the bench instead of Makin, end of story.

When they've reached that stage he'll put Stearman et al on the bench ( not all at once) and give them 10, 20, 30 mins at the end of a game provided we are winning and looking comfortable. I don't think we've reached that point yet. So he hasn't gone back on his word.
breadandcheese Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 I wonder if somebody can clarify something for me. Do our promising youngsters like Stearman, Dawson, et al train with the first team? And can anyone tell me which of our youngsters do on a regular basis? Thanks, I would have thought that training with the first team is the first step to getting them ready to be thrown into the mix.
Simon Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 I'm pretty sure I've seen Stearman with them on videos on LCFC world but beyond this I'm not sure...
Scow Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 From what Levein has indicated, I think the likes of Stearman, Dawson and Sheehan all train with the first team.

I have been happy with his performances, the team has been winning and I don't feel the need to do an awful lot in changing things. from this article: http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/disp...tentPK=11771455 So now we have CL's opinion about Scowy in words
MADLEVEIN Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 wouldnt suprise me if hughes starts the game.
Scow Posted 4 February 2005 Posted 4 February 2005 wouldnt suprise me if hughes starts the game. 62834[/snapback] It would surprise me - Why split up a midfield partnership that did well in the last game? Hughes has to prove himelf, he can't just expect to walk straight in to the team.
