Daggers Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 2) Keep looking. It's there. No - if you can't source evidence to support a claim I will treat it with the disdain it deserves. As I say, I have not read anything that backs up your claim he could not cope with the rigours of Championship football - quite the opposite.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 2) Keep looking. It's there.3) Of course Allen wouldn't. Allen has signed him to be first choice. Doesn't mean fans should assume he's right. PS: Being Denmark's goalkeeper is akin to being Scotland's goalkeeper. Not necessarily bad but... Erm, thats a little harsh on Denmark Thracian, they have qualfied for more major tournaments than Scotland, they've won the European Championship, they beat us 4-0 last time they played us and have decent players playing through out Europes top leagues.

Yes but have they ever beaten Hinckley 5-0? I don't think so.
Daggers Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Rated as a £1.7million player Danish Under 21 goalkeeper, Jimmy Nielsen, is currently with AB in Denmark after initially being considered as the successor to Peter Schmeichel at Old Trafford Yup - those quotes about him not being up to the Championship mark are literally dripping off Google
sdb Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 cant be assed to read whole thread, plus im battered! but well done allen! all pretty crap! x
Blue Bob Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Bye lads, don't let the changing room door hit you on the way out!!!
BartonFox Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Yes but have they ever beaten Hinckley 5-0? I don't think so. Quote of the day
Scow Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Hughes - he could pick out a pass, show some good touches and fire in a good shot - however, too slow and lightweight to be anything more than peripheral. Maybury - a more than able right back for this division. Unfortunately, he was played at left back and right wing too often, which probably disrupted him. Hammond - had pace. Er, that's it.
Simon Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I preyed that Stephen Hughes would finally fulfill some of that talent, but some of us can only wait so long- in the end it was inevitable he'd be shown the door- I'm sure he'll do better in the SPL. The less said about the other two the better. Maybury was always far too easily turned (something I remember saying in his first bloody game for us!) and Hammond had pace in abundance. But nothing else.

He wasn't that fast was he? Seriously, I know it is all slag off the wannabe Thug-Lifer day, but I was never all that impressed by his pace. If that was his best attribute then he is worse than I thought
I8AM Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Martin's put them up for transfers!Hooray! http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1032590,00.html I told everyone this at 9.15am http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=38278 After all the "whats your source" etc. Did I also tell you all Nielsen had signed and got all the same............. will keep it to myself fed up of all the grief !!! Watch this space. MA has said 50% will probably go from current squad. Unless we receive any ridiculous offers the following are safe:- Hume, Fryatt, Porter, Weslowski, Stearman.

If that was his best attribute then he is worse than I thought I can't say I was impressed either, but he was comfortably quicker than anyone else in the squad. Certainly wasn't indicating he's on par with the likes of Henry/Walcott.

You're not suggesting that Gareth McAuley is not wanted are you? Oh Christ, the Foxes Talk massive will go in to a state of hysteria

You're not still moaning about that are you ? Congratulations on being right but it still doesn't allow you special privileges, you still need to indicate a source like everyone else.. You know it makes sense and is fair.

You must either be a gifted clairvoyant or work at the club. Are you Martin Allen in disguise?
BartonFox Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I imagine the knowledge that Porter is a chosen one will fill you full of warmth and happiness They are going to farm him out somewhere to give him more time to develop apparently. Personally it is a waste of time but seeing as we won't have to watch his ineptness week in week out I won't complain too much

Personally it is a waste of time but seeing as we won't have to watch his ineptness week in week out I won't complain too much I hope it's somewhere where overrunning the ball is considered a good thing. He'd be fu cked elsewhere. Here he gets the .... 'yeah but he's from Lestoh, innit?' Elsewhere he won't get the same treatment.
Guest Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Maybury was bollox after his first attempted move to Sunderland broke down, but it doesn't mean he is a bad player. Exactly. If my (soon to be ex) employers had told me that they'd arranged for me to go and work for a better company, and after a week of nothing they not only told me that they'd ballsed the move up, but I now had to cover for someone in the accounts department, my motivation and ability would be called into question.

Yeah - and don't forget.. it's got to be pretty depressing when your instructions are to kick it long for Elvis fu cking Hammond to chase. Or pass it to Andy Johnson? Job satisfaction? I doubt it.

Shouldn't that be "pass it somewhere near Andy johnson, but not near enough for him to move to so that he may point, and run his hands through his flowing locks"?
The People's Hero Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 Shouldn't that be "pass it somewhere near Andy johnson, but not near enough for him to move to so that he may point, and run his hands through his flowing locks"? Right. Who disclosed Hullfox's gameplan and my role in it to Lisa?
lcfc_jme Posted 4 June 2007 Posted 4 June 2007 I still wish to keep Elvis on at the club. But I'm rather glad Hughes and Maybury will be disappearing and playing completely shit football for other teams next season. That's the one positive in all of this.
