Hughes, Hammond, Maybury put up for sale

Recommended Posts

I know Maybury and Hughes are disappointed, as am I as I think they are 2 half decent players, it hasn't worked out for them and Hughes will end up back in the SPL and Europe next season with Aberdeen.

As for Hammond quite possibley the worst forward I have ever seen and that includes Nathan Blake.

Clearly Allen knows class in a forward and Elvis doesn't tick any box whatsoever.

Good riddance to Elvis.

None of that surprises me in the least - nor the petty reactions - but I see Matty More Chances remains one of the favoured few.

I'd be well interested to know his official thinking on that one.

And even more interested to see if Fryatt takes this chance.

Nice of MA to let the players know early.

Hope he's equally honest in letting any potential centre-forwards know the high esteem Matty is held in before they choose Leicester as a career opportunity.

Cos if six goals for the season's not good enough for Hammond but four goals a season's fine for Fryatt, my word Fryatt'll take some shifting!

Theres a difference between an injury-hit talented(ish) youngster and a pacey never-has-been who cant hit a barn door with a banjo.

And you say you have nothing against Fryatt?

 C'mon Thrac. Cut the crap.

Fryatt's excuse is he was injured. Whats Hammond's excuse for being so shite?

I agree with every work of that.

Hughes and Maybury both have the requisite ability to succeed here. If MA doesn't see them as part of the solution though - it's best that they are allowed to move on.

Elvis just isn't a footballer and I'm pleased that he's been found out for the fraud that he is. He's made enough money out of the 'beautiful' game.

I give him credit for hustling his way up. How a man can be so shite in his profession and still drive around in a Bentley is truly amazing.

I will have nothing against Fryattt when he starts getting 15/18 goals a season.

But am I sick of the endless excuses for him and the turning of so many blind eyes to what he actually contributes.

I didn't know Elvis had a Bentley too. Surprising choice for one so young.

Next season its make or break for Fryatt. If he stays injury free and still fails to deliver then I will be on your side Thrac. Until then, I will give him the benefit of doubt because he's been out injured this season, but whats Elvis' excuse for being absolute hopeless.

The Sun has started shining, three wasters have been given the boot and two decent signings have been made and a new director of football with (what at least seems like) a very strong record has arrived to work with Allen... all's right with the world

Come-on Bart... however well either turn out to do in Scottish football they've been consistently inconsequential while they've been here.

And, just like one or two other long-term failures, no-one can say they didn't get a fair crack. Kelly even invented positions for em if he could.

Well done Mr Allen, what an excellent days work. These three deserved to go I guess there will be more going such as Rab but they maybe on holiday still and it appears that Martin likes to do these things face to face which I believe it the correct way and not over the phone - the spineless way.

Looking forward to the next press release.

Elvis has actually been offered a contract by Leicestershire Foxes as a specialist fielder.

They've heard how fond he is of the off-side.

Wahey!

OLE!

lol:appl:

Good to see Allen not hanging around.

I can't believe we have a chance of making money of these lot.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mandaric let Allen know what he thought of certain players as well as Allen making up his own mind from DVDs and talking to backroom staff that still remain about personalities. Hughes never lived up to his early signs of ability, Maybury is inconsistent and Hammond isn't a striker. Anyway, none of them have actually left the club yet so we could be stuck with them for next season too if no-one wants them.

dont be an idiot, he always tried to perform his best and get stuck in. Unfortunatley he isnt good enough.

Yep, If your definition of getting stuck in is standing off a winger by about 5 yards allowing him the freedom of the stadium to deliver a cross then fair enough.

I knew Maybury and Hughes would be off. They have been utter garbage this year. Elvis has actually been okay in patches and I hope he gets a contract with a side in League One where he can look like a decent player. He's just become one of these players it's fashionable to slag off. Fryatt has offered practically nothing all season and I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest if he was off as well.
