Well you've got 23 chances to get the team right Since the advent of the www there has been rumour and counter romour of who team will face on opening day, of a pre-drawn fixture list and all that. The fixtures are released to the Club Secretary the night before they are made public and then released to the media outlets.

Simi Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 I'd like us to get either Barnsley or Preston, both fantastic last away days last year. Barnsley will no doubt be fighting relegation, and it would be good to test ourselves early against Preston and see what Allen is really made of. Plus they are likely to be without Nugent.

I game where you could say i was their and it was so worth it. When is the first game of the season? First weekend of August? Or the Second weekend? SystonFox Posted 10 June 2007 Posted 10 June 2007 Ultra - we beat them 1-0 with Joeys 40 yard effort. re; BartonFox. the past 2 seasons i have received a pm from someone on talkingballs atleast 3 or 4 days before the fixtures are to be released who our 1st 4 or 5 games will be and they were spot on. maybe they are the club secretary but these things do get out.

But on this, as on transfers, posters cite "reliable sources" who turn out to be nothing of the kind!

But on this, as on transfers, posters cite "reliable sources" who turn out to be nothing of the kind! i knew you meant the fulham game cos it is probably the only recent LCFC away game anyone can be proud after losing the way we did. was a fantastic match and we were great. imagine if it had gone to ET and maybe pens. i dont believe anybody to be a reliable source because anyone can put 2+2 together and think we are going to sign Carl Cort or Ronaldinho or Joe Bloggs but when you get told what i got told 2 seasons in a row you just cant guess that stuff. if you can i'd like to know next weeks Lottery please.
