shen Posted 12 June 2007 Posted 12 June 2007 Apparently, although he was watching lots of players, Allen's focus was a striker called Kovacevic from Sociedad in Spain and Kishishev in Bulgaria whom we already know about. He's a Serb alright, so there could be something about it. As others have pointed out already though, the lad is old, is past his best, and has failed to shine in a relegatied Primera Division side this season...

As every time I've seen him he's been shit. I must admit i've not seen him play for a few years. I'd prefer Carsten Janker.

Thats what struck me, then again, Kovacevic is a common name so perhaps folks are confusing him with Nenad (plays for Lens IIRC) ...either way dont rate him too much to be honest, too old and probably not the kind of striker we'd be after if we were looking for another. thought it was a done deal at saints Oh have you been missing some fun ...as things stand Saints have made an offer (£670k or there abouts) and have first-refusal, but noises from inside LCFC seem to suggest that we're trying to highjack the deal and with Saints in a pretty bad fix in terms of money now we're probably got a realistic chance of bettering any offer they make... its all a bit unclear at the moment to say the least.
