lildave3 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Most of the names in this thread are people that the media have slagged off, so how can they be overrated?
Mikey Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 To be quite honest I don't really think Rio and Robinho are overrated. Also I don't really think Hargreaves is either. I would say Petr Cech is. I'm not saying he isn't good because he definitely is very very good. But he is not as good as people make him out to be. Best keeper in the world haha don't make me laugh. I'm now going to find everyone telling me how wrong I am

potter3 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Most of the names in this thread are people that the media have slagged off, so how can they be overrated? Before the World Cup: "Arr Hargreaves is wank, whats Sven out him in the squad for" After World Cup, especially the Portugal game "Hargreaves is well good, I don't see why we play Lampard instead of him" And he goes to Man U for £18,000,000 (?)
potter3 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Who is the best keeper in the world for you then? Zeljko Kalac, obviously
dandannieldanok Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Nick Barmby - he was shite really, wasn't he? yes he was crap most of the time, but be fair to the lad he was one of the heroic 11 that beat Germany 5-1 in Munich
Mikey Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Who is the best keeper in the world for you then? Iker Casillas
Nationwider Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 yes he was crap most of the time, but be fair to the lad he was one of the heroic 11 that beat Germany 5-1 in Munich That is a good call. But it doesn't get him off the hook!

Yeah I agree with that one. That's why I said most and not all, not a fan of his at all.
Tommeh Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Cech is actually a good call for me, don't get me wrong he's good but there are plenty better in my opinion. I think too much was made of how chelsea failed because of his injury and forgot terry was also out. I'm waiting for someone to come on and say Rooney or Gerrard like the last thread we had on this matter.
Brainy Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Ballack is payed over £100k a week, i think..? There'd be more pressure on him to perform, but if your basing it on his performances in general, then I can understand.
escape2victory Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Darren Bent Andy Johnson Jermaine Jenas Kieran Dyer Freddy Adu Adriano Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Manwell Pablo Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Micheal Ballack was a fantastic player in the Bundesliga. He's just not adapted yet.
lildave3 Posted 17 June 2007 Posted 17 June 2007 Freddy Adu The hype surrounding him since he was 12 has been unreal though. To be known virtually worldwide at such a young age and to have that much pressure to perform is crazy.
