stevie909 Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Obviously many will say wembley, but i actually quite like the city of manchester, and some of the more modern designs such as the reebok and walkers. Just wanted your thoughts on which you thought was the best stadium that you have either been to or seen.
The People's Hero Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Brentford's has a pub on every corner (the only ground to do so).
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Wembley. Can't believe there are many people who have been there for both football and music already too.
stevie909 Posted 21 June 2007 Author Posted 21 June 2007 Has anyone seen portsmouth's proposed new 'floating' stadium? saw it in the times and it looked like a giant piece of art.
AoWW Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Has anyone seen portsmouth's proposed new 'floating' stadium? saw it in the times and it looked like a giant piece of art. Has been talked about in a previous thread. Portsmouth Stadium Thread Looks like it should be in Dubai, IMO!
Ric Flair Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 I've always enjoyed going to Anfield. Will be a sad day when they knock that down, although i'm not keen on Liverpool fans, they make some serious noise and that ground is part of that.
mancunianfox Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 The city of manchester stadium is horrible. Completely lifeless. I'd have to go with Anfield as I haven't been to the new Wembley yet. Doubt that its a great place to watch football though. Anfield is truely awesome and I have no idea how they plan to replace it.
Father Ted Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Ricoh Arena = Sh*t hole. Passed it yesterday singing : In your Cov Slums As loud as i could out of a minibus!
Tubes Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 the temple that was filbert street bloody essandoh (sp?) though everytime i look at where the place once stood i see in my head that prat jumping up and heading the goal
Simi Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Hillsborough or Craven Cottage. Craven Cottage was great. The stands really do elevate the atmosphere well. And the concourses were different aswell .
Tommeh Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Craven cottege Oakwell Deepdale best is old trafford, went there on a tour and a few England games and its quite unbelievable. Awesome atmosphere especially on european nights too.
Simi Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Stadium of Light, Lisbon. A lot said Wembley was very similiar to that.
alex Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Really? Not been there yet.... Stadium of Light was unreal.
alex Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Although, of course, it's not in 'the country'.... I think the old Meadow Lane when Foxes went mental there about 20 years ago still stands as one of the greatest stadia/atmos experiences ever. That and the taking over of Selhurst Park v Wimbledon and against Charlton at Upton Park. Days/nights like that make being a City fan absolutely amazing.
dandannieldanok Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 Although very unspectacular I was impressed with the Madjeski Stadium. I do like Hillsborough too and this may sound strange but IMO Gresty Road is good.
Brainy Posted 21 June 2007 Posted 21 June 2007 The only ground ive been to is Villa Park, it was great. Or maybe im being too nice, and need to go to a few more before I judge.
