Mr Happy Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Does anybody think that MM will actually pay to bring a new player in, or that we'll just be receiving freebies, until july then bringing in loanees??
Simi Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Does anybody think that MM will actually pay to bring a new player in, or that we'll just be receiving freebies, until july then bringing in loanees?? We paid for Neilson.
Simon Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 We paid for Neilson. Neilsen And I'd imagine Sappleton as well as he's only 17?
Simi Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Neilsen And I'd imagine Sappleton as well as he's only 17? I'd guess some sort of compensation.
Pete_foxes Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 lets hope we're going to spend big bucks on the remainder of the transfers
lookwhaticando Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Neilsen And I'd imagine Sappleton as well as he's only 17? I don't think so. 6th JuneRicky Sappleton [QPR - Leicester] Free The Mirror also says it was on a Free. Perhaps he turned down the offer of a pro contract (being 17, it would have been his first, surely) at QPR and had trials elsewhere instead. Unless he had a pro contract, I don't think QPR were owed anything since he was without contract. If he had a pro contract that expired, then he'd probably have commanded a fee at a tribunal. ----------- Updated: Apparently, he was released several months ago by QPR. As far back as March 28th he was having a second trial at Liverpool and FansFC said he had been "recently released by QPR". So I was right - he was fair game, if QPR elected to release him.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 We paid for Neilson. Neilsen And I'd imagine Sappleton as well as he's only 17? NIELSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
johnny-kid9 Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Well the players hes bought so far for free are pretty good... But i think ur right we do need to spend some money to get some more better players if we have got any hope of getting promoted next season.
shen Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Does anybody think that MM will actually pay to bring a new player in, or that we'll just be receiving freebies, until july then bringing in loanees?? Are you the same bloke that posted on 606?
lookwhaticando Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Are you the same bloke that posted on 606? There's more than one person of the opinion that we've not yet spent enough on transfer fees. Sadly.
Jimmy Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 Sappleton had been released for "attitude problems" so was a free
a-fox Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I think its great that we are getting better quality players without spending any money, can not see the problem.
Simon Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 NIELSEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fcuk. Egg. On face. I knew it still didn't look right. Honest.
dandannieldanok Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I think its great that we are getting better quality players without spending any money, can not see the problem. You obviously have a different perception of quality than me.
teblin Posted 26 June 2007 Posted 26 June 2007 I'd say the players are of a better quality, we still have to realise that we have got as much money to spend as some people think we have. Cort if fit (i know big if) is better than elvis and de vries. N'gotty is more reliable than McCarthy.
Blue Bob Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 We'll pay a fee today. Source? I think everyone is getting a bit to nervous on the transfer front. Look at the activity on the market - easy way go onto the transfer section of the BBC site. That besides a few most of the transfers have been free, there are few purchases taking place. There will be activity both at Leicester and other clubs but we need to be patient. In fairness we have signed seven players - how many other clubs have had this amount of activity?? Liverpool, Villa and Fulham havent signed a single player yet!!!
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 You obviously have a different perception of quality than me. Haha, two words, Stephen Crainey.
Foxhateram Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Haha, two words, Stephen Crainey. window doesnt officially open till the 1st of july doubt wel see much money spent until then. well that is like sunday isnt it? next week people will be the week for the stars to come in!
shen Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Liverpool, Villa and Fulham havent signed a single player yet!!! Doubt any Liverpool fans will care if they succeed in getting Torres!!
city1993 Posted 27 June 2007 Posted 27 June 2007 Well if we want good players then we will have to spend some money. We will pay for 2 new players this week or next week I predict.
