Scow Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 I'm looking at purchasing a Wii and wasn't sure whether the following was a good deal or not? To be honest, I don't know a great deal about the console, and I've seen you mention the Wii fairly often in your posts. Link to Amazon via here.
Joe. Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 I'm looking at getting one too soon and that's the best deal I've found so far. There's also a decent game bundle offer at Game.
JoeyB Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 Get an Xbox 360 there miles better than a Wii if you go for a Wii go to game
Maybes Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 £180 is about the going rate. If it was me I would buy a 360. Quality.

Tommeh Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 £180 seems a bargin tbh Especially when I payed £295 for my 360 a few months back and ps3's are over £400.
Joe. Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 The Wii's just something totally different to other things on the market. That and the fact it's so reasonably priced make it a great console to buy When I can afford it, I think I'm going to get one.
Guest Posted 1 July 2007 Posted 1 July 2007 The thought of Wii-ing in my lounge is quite off-putting.
Scow Posted 1 July 2007 Author Posted 1 July 2007 It's something that all the family are thinking of chipping in for because of how interactive it is. Not really fussed about the 360 or PS3 - I've got a PS2, so I'm content with that. As Joe says, it's something a bit different.
hairy Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 We have a Wii in our house and they are great fun. The sports game you get with it is good for the family. Wario Wares Smooth Moves is a mental game that makes you laugh. You should think about buying Play too as you get another controller with it, the games not great though. They are totaly different consoles to the 360 and PS3 and they dont pretend to be like the others. Get one you wont regret it.

I have to agree with Hairy, I bought one a month ago, and in the past have had a xbox, ps2 etc and I must say I enjoy my wii alot more, the gaming is alot more interactive and definitely great for the family and guest!! If your a 'pure' gamer there are enough titles to keep you happy but the PS3 or 360 maybe a better option!!!
Phube Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 The offer is as good as you're gonna get on the Wii alone, some might do, like, a fiver off if you buy a bundle. but you can get games cheaply anyways! Buy one, you won't regret it, but like Hairy said if it's a joint, family effort you'll need more Wii-motes. So go for Wii-play! Any other questions, I'm here for ya!! (And Hairy, Alex[ikokopops], possibly Singh etc.!!)

Phube Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Do you work for nintendo? On the marketing side? No the NHS!!! Just an enthusiast!
Hullfox Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 Trust your uncle jase, scowehhhh. The wii, beer, lots of people round and assorted nibbles makes for a great great evening.
The People's Hero Posted 2 July 2007 Posted 2 July 2007 The Wii is a good laugh - enjoy playing on my mate's when we have a few people round. Xbox 360 for any 'solo' gaming though. Not that I've played on my 360 in ages.
