Maybe that Watford fan will come back and we can show him a few clips of our new player :yesyes:

You know what, I'd love to see Kaebi give Marlon King a good kick next season just so we can laugh at that twat. :D

lol. it was me who wrote that :D

:D :D

He's now being described as a winger in the first paragraph of our news report on the OS. Swear it said right-back earlier. I reckon maybe someone's had a word and he'll definitely be playing on the wing for us. Fingers crossed.

Loving all these new Iranian fans.

welcome!

It's more than likely he'll play right wing for us considering the players we already have. How often does he play right wing? Is he just as capable on the wing? Cheers.

Our NT coach prefers him at Right wing and Mahdavikia (Frankufurt, ex-Hamburg) at RB (both can play in both positions)

lol zandi and kaabi in the same i think that would work :P zandi = tall and handsome, Kaabi = short and like me :D

Actually they've been saying they need a creative attacking midfielder, and I think Zandi would be perfect for that position :P

Crative attacking midfielder makes me think of mobali and karimi more. We know karimi will never go to europe again but hey Maybe mobali isent such a gold digging player as karimi :D

I'd prefer Mahdavikia, if he's available. :thumbup::D

He was actually, but Frankfurt signed him lol

I doubt he'd ever come to england tho

He does sound promising.

And given his background, at least there'll be one player we won't have to worry about going on the lash before matches..

I don’t want to turn this thread into an argument.

I don't understand you Ultra?

You’ve slagged Mandaric off for months. Now, you're on here praising him and his decisions?

Maybe you apologised somewhere and admitted you were wrong? But still find your sudden change of heart slightly bizarre.

Hello Leicester City fans. I am another Iranian who has just joined your support club, thanks to Kaabi signing. Football has always been the most popular sport in Iran but the pro league is only seven years old, so we will see even more Iranian gems playing in Europe. I am particularly a fan of Kaabi. The first time I saw him play for the TM (Team Melli)[ You guys should know that 'team melli' is the name for the Iranian national team] several years ago, I thought this kid is good enough to play for a top European club. If he had been playing in better clubs during his early and formidable years, believe in me, you would not even dream of signing him. But as it happens, he played in Iran with basic facilities and unsophisticated methods etc. But he is a diamond in need of some TLC. I know you guys are struggling with his name so his name is pronounced Ka (little pause) be. Like 'can be' without pronouncing N, but not like cabbie.

I really hope he gets on alright in the team and hope to see him play regularly.

Cheers

Hello friends, I also hail from Iran ;)

I can't read all 13 pages of replies but I thought I would add a little bit of what I know about him. I would Also like to say in the Iranian football community we are very grateful for the support you are showing our boy and we're sure it'll do him alot of good.

In the World Cup he was exceptional as a rightback for us. The Portuguese tried both Figo and Ronaldo on their left flank but he really caused problems for both players. Granted, Figo was past his prime and Ronaldo was yet to reach it. Doesn't change the fact that he made the very fast Ronaldo look like a turtle.

His performances after that were not up to the standards he exhibited in the World Cup, due in part to uncertainty about his status in dumb arab clubs and being used out of position alot of the time. But in the recent 8-1 victory over Jamaica he was good. He exhibited good defensive work, tackles, and passes.

He is about 5 feet 4 inches tall.

He is believed to be capable of running 100 meters in less than 10 seconds.

He does fall over when involved in a trussel with other players because he isn't so big, but it is rare for him to get into a shoving match with an opposing player as he tends to get to the ball first. Usually he earns fouls in his team's favor.

In the Asian Cup 2004, when he was 18, he sent an assist to Bayern Munich's Ali Karimi to score a header against South Korea. The ball was sent far ahead and went past the line, but before it touched the ground becoming a goal-kick for the Koreans Kaabi bicycled it to Karimi, who headed it in.

watch from around 0:45 to around 0:60 in that clip and you'll see it. his speed was fantastic and it was a very impressive assist.

Iran won the game 4-3 and Kaabi was subbed out between minutes 70 and 80

you can see the entire game here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=vbAPmAssubw if you don't have anything to do, haha. He's the diminutive guy at right back, as commentary is in Chinese (but unlike most names you can tell when they are saying "Kaabi" :D ) It was a very exciting game. Just in case you can be bothered.

Again, thanks for the support and we hope for the best for Leicester City.

Thankyou Faran and H-Ka bi for your informative posts, I'm sure we all look forward to seeing Hosein playing for us, it's good to see such a promising young player come to Leicester. You'll have to keep an eye out for us and start an Iranian Leicester City supporters club! Wouldn't it be great for us and Iranian football if he could be seen playing for 'City' in the UK premiership!

Cheers.

Hello, I am an Iranian Australian so have long had good feelings towards Leicester, but now with one of my heroes on board, I will be supporting you lads all the way. Great to see the enthusiasm here!

This is the best video I've seen yet, it's got all the clips we've seen before but a couple of new ones too, particularly a dribble against Ghana that looks quality! I hope we have a decent set piece taker cos this boy is going to win us millions of free kicks. lol

Hope we get promoted next season otherwise there's a good chance he wont be with us, mind you MM will get the money back he paid for us after one season lol
