morris1234 Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 isnt jeffers a similar type of player to fryatt!?? not very reliable anyway! interesting though!
Daggers Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=9...toid=2117732906 Gosh. Aside from 4 goals in 9 games for Ipswich I've always thought of him as a terminal under-achiever.
Gené and Tonic Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Would be good. But somehow I don't trust the source
Joe. Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Not quite sure what to think one this one. Kind of a Carl Cort type- impressed early on, moved to a big club for a big fee and flopped. Did well at Ipswich thought last season and I know they were very keen to keep hold of him. All in all, I wouldn't be too displeased if he signed.
Master Fox Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 No way ho-zay!! Dont want that duschbag here!! Dustbags can be handy you know!!
STUHILL Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Not too sure about this one!! Would prefer to play Fryatt than him to be honest. Maybe a useful back-up striker but nothing more! Definately a step down from Job.
The People's Hero Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 I've decided we should sign that Thompson fella who Bolton have released. Unless he has a club.

lookwhaticando Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Unless he has a club. No sign that he's currently attached to a club.
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Hendrie and Thompson in the midfield with K'Aebi doing the running for them would be immense. Jeffers? Not so sure on, has masses of ability but something's a foot with him. Had a decent spell at Ipswich at the back end of last season though.

You're right, i still think he'll bag more goals than Fryatt.

That sort of midfield could develop the grin into complete facial distortion. And I wouldn't mind Jeffers. Decent with his head too.
The People's Hero Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Are people behind this Thompson idea then? I don't need to get my bandwagon out again do I? Oooh I could get Nicholls involved too.
Wils Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 According to the papers here Ipswich dont think they will sign him. Apparently theres other clubs in the hunt for the Fox in the Box. So maybe?!
Kent Fox Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Are people behind this Thompson idea then?I don't need to get my bandwagon out again do I? Oooh I could get Nicholls involved too. 'Tis time for the bandwagon to roll! WE WANT THOMPSON!!

Bluefoxtim Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Never liked Jeffers. Couldn't believe it when Arsenal spent 8 million on him
Thracian Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Jeffers is a bloke who's name is better known than his achievements.
Cheese Me Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 He was quality at Everton. At the time thought Arsenal had snapped up a great player. Would quite like to see him here, see if he can relive some of that early promise. Would certainly prefer him to Job.
Kent Fox Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Jeffers is a bloke who's name is better known than his achievements. So was Hitler.
Ric Flair Posted 5 July 2007 Posted 5 July 2007 Jeffers is a bloke who's name is better known than his achievements. Have to agree. The man has scored 29 goals in 9 seasons. Ok, so he's only made about 100 appearances in that time, but that also tells it's own story. Injury prone and unless we get him on a free transfer (very unlikely) then i'd rather we go elsewhere to be honest, even if he does have masses of talent.
