Thracian Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 With 36 down at training already we'll soon have more players than fans. But we do need a striker.
Babylon Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 With 36 down at training already we'll soon have more players than fans. But we do need a striker. Yes... Dodds and Elvis are dead weight.

Lester LXXIV Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Sorry.... just for you we are signing Hendrie on Monday, Clemence on Tuesday and Job on Wednesday. If only...
lee7 Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 campbell would do well if he started regular and if clemence came that would make up a good midfield
Pete_foxes Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Get these bad boyz in! another link http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle2036653.ece
Thracian Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Yes... Dodds and Elvis are dead weight. As already stated I shall let all the players do their talking on the pitch. Though I might find a chair for Cort!
Moreton Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Agree with Ric - if clemence is going for around 500k then it values Cambell at 1.5m.... not sure i have seen enough of him to be happy paying that amount... he didnt really vut it in the prem.. I dunno about the price but the allen manderic team obviousy thinks there is something their
Rocky Dennis Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Sorry.... just for you we are signing Hendrie on Monday, Clemence on Tuesday and Job on Wednesday. Sounds a bit like that Craig David song!!
Pete_foxes Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Sounds a bit like that Craig David song!! or maybe Shaggy to the tune of It wasn't me "Signing Hendrie on monday, it wasnt me...." even though it makes no sence
DB11 Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 If it's true, and it happens, it will be a great signing for LCFC!
Nath Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Sorry.... just for you we are signing Hendrie on Monday, Clemence on Tuesday and Job on Wednesday. Hmmmm thats a joke isn't it?! Or was u telling the truth but given us the impression it was a big fat lie?
Who ate all the pies? Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Christ if that turns out to be true I'll be over the moon. It makes me bloody excited just hoping those signings come off!
a-fox Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/200...89520-19413809/LEICESTER City have made a £2million double bid for Birmingham City's Stephen Clemence and DJ Campbell. bit of a rip off ! dj campbell must be worth about 300k doing nothing for a year and was bought for 500k and clemence must be worth about 500k hes getting a bit old but still has the quality but why would Birmingham get rid of there star player from last year ?

Agree they probably aren't worth that, but we may have to pay over the odds to get them because thats just the way it works.
TheBlinding Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 It's probably about right, maybe even a bit cheap. The going rate for a striker in this league seems to be £1.5-2million. And Clemence is a quality player too. Be a great deal if we can pull it off, I'd seriously start to think about the playoffs.
Guest Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 Agree they probably aren't worth that, but we may have to pay over the odds to get them because thats just the way it works. I'm a bit confused by all this. Bruce has clearly stated he doesn't want Clemence to leave and ,even if he has rejected the first offer of a new contract, why would he then decide to drop a division when he's only just got up as player of the year (even if not officially most fans sites seem to think he was)? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him join but I'm a bit unsure about that rumour although it might explain pasty-boy Hendrie not yet being offered anything solid - maybe clemence is the back up plan if hendrie turns out to be related to the Marshmellow Man? I have no opinion bout the DJ Campbell thing. Better then Elvis but hardly gonna tear the place up either.

dandannieldanok Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 hendrie plays on the left wing Not any where near as well as he does in the centre of the midfield, just look at his performance last season for Stoke at the Walkers. The wing position totally limited him and thats part of the reason we won.

He's always been a centre midfielder it's just some manager's are thick and have played him on the left wing. which is odd because he has no pace.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 6 July 2007 Posted 6 July 2007 With 36 down at training already we'll soon have more players than fans. But we do need a striker. And a creative/playmaking midfield player...any from.. Lee Hendrie Graham Kavanagh Stephen Clemence Akos Buzsaky would probably do actually !!
