Ric Flair Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 With 15 games left and us currently standing on 40 points, what do you think our total points will be for the season. Play-offs are realistically out of the window, especially with the teams we still have to play. Febuary 22 Stoke (A, 7.45pm kick-off) 3 points 26 Reading (A) 1 point March 5 Nottm Forest (H) 3 points 8 Burnley (A) 3 points 12 Derby (H) 3 points 15 Watford (A, 7.45pm kick-off) 1 point 19 West Ham (A) 0 points April 2 Millwall (H) 3 points 5 Wolverhampton (H, 7.45pm kick-off) 3 points 9 Brighton (A) 3 points 16 Wigan (H) 1 point 19 Cardiff (H, 7.45pm kick-off) 3 points 23 Sunderland (A) 0 points 30 Leeds (H) 3 points May 8 Plymouth (A) 3 points If we get the points that i've predicted above we will finish on 73 points, which might be enough for the play-offs. No doubt we won't get anywhere near that amount of points, but if we don't we will have under-achieved in my opinion. Predict.
Stuliasz Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 So we are going to win every single home game apart from Wigan? Considering our home form over the past year and a half, I would suggest you swap the home and away points around.

Simon Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 63 points. 66885[/snapback] I think 68 or 69- enough for top 10 but not enough for the play-offs.

Chandler Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Very few of you it seems used any scientific approach in your forecasting. So how about using the most obvious one? Durrr...what would that be Doc? Levein's own average points to games ratio perhaps? Hey, why didn't I think of that Doc? You're not called a 'Bonehead' for nothing you know. So how many games has Levein been in charge? Er...fifteen I think... And how many points has this wonderful manager who has changed everything won in this time? Let me see (half an hour later)... I'm pretty sure it's twenty. Is that all? Twenty measly points? That's not even mid table form - that would be twenty two and a half. Er..how can you have half a point Doc/ Idiot...take that...we're talking averages not aggregates bonehead! So how many games are there left? Fifteen. So we are probably going to get twenty more points. How many have we got now? Forty. So forty + twenty =? Oh don't bother...Switch the lights out when you've worked it out.

Instant success, and if that never happened he's in for it for the rest of his time here?

When you start having conversations with yourself, it's a sign that things are not right in your head

As usual, all knee jerk and no thought. Let me enlighten you, grasshopper. The last seven games have yielded only eight points. Impressive enough - if you're in the drop zone. Oh yes, Craig is really trying right enough. He's bringing in and he's a shipping out. All to little avail it seems. I'd like to think it would make you think twice about hounding out a PROVEN manager in the future but I am sure that would be asking too much..

It was PAINFUL. We had no future when he started to show what type of players he likes to go for. We are building a squad, instead of signing up whoever is available, and throwing them all into a team to see if it works. The players are actually trying now, showing some passion, which wasn't the case under Adams. I suppose you're going to tell me they showed enough passion and effort, so i may as well end it here.

Your lack of patience amazes me. Why do you suddenly think everything is going to click together? I think Mr Levein is proven enough. He made Hearts a consistently good Scottish Premier League side behind Celtic and Rangers, to then drop down to teh Championship must mean something. Yes he has brought in a few players... since hes brought them in the side looks to be performing much better, we look like creating chances. ITS A START. Rome wasnt built in a day, and its going to take more than a few weeks and months to turn the club around. Or would you rather we sack him and go back to square one AGAIN?
