jimbo32 Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 according to rob kelly in tonights mercury, theres two players coming in with the money saved by slowcroft leaving. he says it will not be strikers tho as we have enough cover in wright and dublin i think there looking at a defender and midfielder, but if dublin does leave for cov then the areas that need cover will possibly change again
Benji Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 enough cover for strikers we need someone to put the ball in the net.... although i suppose this means tommy wright is now in the reckoning
jimbo32 Posted 15 February 2005 Author Posted 15 February 2005 all it says is before the deadline in march. anyone got any ideas who?thought it was intresting to read that boston,s manager has come out and said that hes desperate to hold onto andy kirk (but that was before i seen the mercury)

BartonFox Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 Look towards another Scottish import, this time from Scandinavia and he's been here before. Charlie Miller of SK Brann (Norway), he's been looking for a return home after leaving Dundee United last season one of the reasons they finished 5th (this season they are 2nd bottom). His form was excellent but the dimwitted Vogts and Burns still thought Richard Hughes of Portsmouth was a better bet at international level He came on loan from Rangers during the MON era when he was a bit of a loose cannon. Very talented player these days and matured a lot.

Never saw him play but a few of my Rangers supporting friends thought he was decent at the time, and if hes got better, sounds like it could be a good signing

Jonbluefox9 Posted 15 February 2005 Posted 15 February 2005 I'd love it if we could sign Lita from Bristol City. I saw him come on for the Under 21s last week and he looks a brilliant prospect. Some of the runs he was making were very clever and he was rewarded with a goal.

Teeno Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 I know who he's connected to MB is a sound bloke, shame he doesn't still post here.
Bert Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 Another player (striker) tht has crossed my mind wud be David Johnson from F$%£!T, out of favour there not got a bad scoring record in this league wud be gd IMO wats every1 else think
Fox 4 Life Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 no i think he is past it, he was good a few yeas back but if he cant even get in the forest team then...............
Ric Flair Posted 16 February 2005 Posted 16 February 2005 Johnson is a weird one really. Connolly could well be going the same way as Johnson. I have always rated Johnson from his Ipswich days and the amount of goals he scored for Forest in 02/03 but he can be very inconsistent. He is a natural goalscorer, but we need a younger striker with a point to prove and someone who isn't going through a major crisis. Connolly needs a striker to play up with him that can gift him scoring opportunites on a plate as he's having his own crisis and Johnson wouldn't be the answer.
