Man United fans still unhappy

This is a genuine letter from a disgruntled supporter.

Dear Sirs

Thank you for your letter dated 20th July in respect of the above.

Your records are correct, I have not joined the automatic cup scheme to date. I find it strange that you state you cannot process my application fully or issue the season ticket until I do so. This despite the fact you have easily managed to process my payment which has now been sat in your account since 8th June. You state that unless I join this ridiculous scheme by 27th July then you will be forced to "reconsider...(my)..application and ...reserve the right to....reimburse in full any sums received....in order for us to sell the seat to a fan willing to commit to our full season of games". You ####ing cheeky b*stards, you expect me to sign up to a scheme to purchase tickets for games that, due to work commitments I will be unlikely able to attend. On top of this you cannot say for certain how many games this will be for or at what cost.

The attitude which the club treats its "customers" is an absolute disgrace. In any other industry the customer would walk away and buy from a rival but as you well know football is not any other business and many cannot and will not do this. The raping of the club by the despicable american "Please dont use that word again" is now complete. Not only are we forced to pay for season tickets which have yet again increased by a rate far greater than inflation (and you can get ####ed with the argument about quality, if that was the case you should be issuing me with IOUs for some of the tedious shite I have at times watched over recent seasons and certainly strecthing back to the 1980's when the club were crying out for fans), we are now forced to take out credit cards for the pleasure of watching the reserves at £38+.

Thank you very much for proving what I thought from day one with the glazer takeover. The man is clearly a ####wit, he has no respect for the fans and the sooner the deformed t**t has another (this time FATAL) stroke the better.

In summary I may take you up on your "offer" to join this scheme under protest but I reserve the right to take legal action for breach of contract.

I am certain that you have had similar responses from many of your customers. I make no apologies for perhaps not being as eloquent as no doubt others have managed to be. However, I am sick to death of the shoddy treatment and can no longer stand by and politely complain.

Yours sincerely ####ed off

James Fenton

The scheme is definitely wrong, but this letter is amusing lol.

I like the way that was going too. Foreign owners knowing shite about the heritage of our game....

Luckily, we're not in that situ...

Are we?

I don't think you can really compare Mandaric to the Glazers. Mandaric quite clearly loves football, even if he loves money more. He also seems to like being liked a bit more than most hard-nosed businessmen, though whether that's a show I don't know.

I'd much rather LCFC be in Man Utds position than what we are atm so paying an extra few quid should be harmless

Then again, he does have a point

Right on that fence again.

Sitting on the fence usually results in a pain in the arse, :yesyes:

Great letter. Pity he ended up suggesting he'd sign up to the scheme, though I do understand it. Twenty-30 years is a long time to support your club.

He obviously likes being successful but I don't know that he likes money more than football.

At his age and with what he's got I imagine it's the challenge rather than the money that appeals to him - it's just that money is the measure of success in so many eyes.

But this is an owner who MA says wants to knows everything he does and will discuss the game and the goings on deep at Leicester into the night.

For a bloke of past pension age he must love the crack. Winning and losing matters enough to us fans but imagine how the adrenlin pumps if you own the club.

All the wheeling and dealing in people, backing your judgement, the match-day drama. It must be like the Holy Grail.

Yes, I'd refer another £380 potentially on top of the season ticket price of about £700 or so "an extra few quid"

I hate Manure fans here in Kettering.

But i accept that season ticket holders at any club including the big four/five/six/whatever are most probably just as big football fans as we are. Not just season ticket holders either, but they're the ones who are being affected here.

I'd laugh if it was their MUTV subscription prices, but it's not.

They're being harshley done by. It's disgraceful.

Worrying really, if they prove they can get away with it, it won't be long before others follow.
