Dames Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Forget Simpsons this is the film you wanna see. Optimus Prime Megan Fox
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 Robots In Disguise Saw it last night, I was half pissed but still think the ending is too 'busy', hard to distinguish what was going on from Row 2!!
Cat Burger Posted 27 July 2007 Posted 27 July 2007 I thought it shat all over my apprehensions. Such a good film, the best I've seen at the Cinema in yonks.
Guest Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I thought it shat all over my apprehensions.Such a good film, the best I've seen at the Cinema in yonks. But why ruin five minutes by having the autobots playing childish hide a seek shenanigans?? Get on with the war already!!
Head Honcho Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 It's not my cup of tea but I got my hands on a copy the other day and everybody I've lent it to loves it! May watch it tomorrow
Dames Posted 30 July 2007 Author Posted 30 July 2007 But why ruin five minutes by having the autobots playing childish hide a seek shenanigans?? Get on with the war already!! What ruined it was they overpowered Megatron and made it so that Sam was the Hero instead of Optimus Prime. Other than that it was amazing.

Saw it last night, I was half pissed but still think the ending is too 'busy', hard to distinguish what was going on from Row 2!! Both true. It could have been a classic of the genre, but the final set-piece was a bit too long and a bit too hard to make out what was happening. It was still absolutely brilliant, though.
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I was fully expecting Michael Bay to cock it up royally. I'm still not entirely sure how he didn't, but I'm very glad. It was giddifyingly good. Is giddifyingly even a word? If it's not, I think it should be.
Nick Posted 30 July 2007 Posted 30 July 2007 I have a copy. Should I watch it at the cinema rather than on a dodgy DVD.....will it spoil it? It seems like the visuals may be hard to make out from what other posters are saying.

The ending was the only bit that was really like the transformers cartoon. It wasn't Transformers until they unfroze Megatron and things started to kick off.

It was too easy
Simon Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Awesome film. Far exceeded my expectations. Easily one of the best films I've seen this year- is that wrong? And Megan Fox
mancunianfox Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Lame how the little turd killed Megatron, Optimus Prime should have finished him off with some fancy footwork. It was too easyI was dissapointed about that. I think it annoyed me how much the Transformers took a backseat during the film and it was more about the kid. I would rather have sat though 90 minutes of giant robots beating the fook out of each other soundtracked to some cheesy solos and wah pedal odysseys.

I was hoping for some Transformer 'n' human sexual action...........I was sure Megan's character hwanted some Optimus Prime in her!!!!!

Optimus piledriving the fitty would have resulted in her death, I'm convinced of this. Plus the fact, what would he pump into her? Unleaded? Either way the bitch is going down!!

ANd on the second point, there are many alternatives......I hope this helps
Rossatron Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 i thought it was good, jus fort it dragged on a little !

mancunianfox Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Dunno mate I'd bet on Optimus's love stick having the girth of an oil drill, Optimus the Impaler Megan Fox looks like she can handle it though.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 31 July 2007 Posted 31 July 2007 Megan Fox looks like she can handle it though. Girth like elephant birth!!
Alexikokopops Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I could sit here and complain how Bumblebee wasn't a Beetle, Jazz wasn't a Porsche, Megatron went from shitty gun to mental jet, and so on. Instead I'm going to sit here and forgive Michael Bay for the horror that was Pearl Harbour. Loved it. Now I'm off to find my old Starscream toy.
MC Prussian Posted 9 August 2007 Posted 9 August 2007 I was really afraid that Bay and Spielberg would fook up the entire concept from the original animated series. Now, after having seen it, I'm actually very pleased and surprised by the movie. There's some excellent jokes and one-liners in there, the characters are well-crafted (I love to hate John Torturro!). Megan Fox obviously THE hot chick. Shia LaBoeuf's doing a great job, too. I just found Rachael Taylor's Australian accent a tad bit annoying and misplaced. Same goes for the typical Bay movie soundtrack that keeps on going on forever. The animation's just plain amazing, great CGI effects. Would've wished for more Decepticon action (Megatron's not introduced until the very end of the movie and is gotten rid of rather easily). The robots behave like they've got real souls. Great action. I'm already looking forward to the sequel. I WANT MORE!!!
