Hmmmmmm... This season - 5th Play Off Semi-finals

Next Season - Win the Championship

Season after - 12th Premiership and finalist in the Carling Cup

Captain - Steven Clemence

You read it here first

I think this is fairly realistic if you take into account the team and how they are still to form a unit under new management:

This Season: 5th (CHAM) - And although we get into the play-off final... I think it might well be heartbreaking as we lose, but I'd like to be proven wrong.

2nd Season: 2nd (CHAM) - And promoted to the Premiership after too long out!

3rd Season: 15th (PREM) - Staying up reasonably comfortably but with enough incentive and cash to build for the coming years after.

Milan and Martin will also still be here. The team (M&M) will then take us on to greater things and get us back to where Martin O'Neill left us and then more... what a legend he was!

This season anywhere between 8th & 12th

Next season lose in the playoffs

Next season lose in the playoffs

We'll still be here, MM will have lost patience with Allen, no idea who will be manager.

Now that's what I call optimisim with a bucket load of realism thrown in.

After the last three years and what's likely to happen in the premier I'd settle for that. After all I really enjoyed the early Little days following similar shite.

This season - bottom half - 8th (MA sacked)

Next season - 8th - play offs (If we get play offs - lose in final)

Season after - Play offs (maybe win if we have a motivational manager)

MM will go regardless of whether we get into the Prem in the 3rd season. Manager will be some old geezer. Captain will be a new signing

Would MA be sacked if we came 8th...harsh!!

I think , if City dont get promoted this year, it will get harder and harder with each you that goes past. Sorry to burst your bubbles guys! But what with the money that relegated teams will be receiving, they will be able to hold onto their top players by maintaining their wages.

So everyone should be behind City 100% (or the cliche 110%!!!) and everyone will develop chronic arthritus through having permanetly crossed fingers.......

Unlike some other things in life

They've been saying that about promotion forever nothing has 'really' changed, it's all relative. It's still possible, and likely as has been proved on many an occasion that you can put together a winning team on less money than others.

I'm not saying this because you're an easy target, but

MM won't go if we're in the Premiership

We're going to finish 8th (bottom half) (either that doesn't make sense or you're trying to say something but not very well)

He meant bottom half to 8th but didn't put it very well.

MM could easily go if we're in the Premiership if he sees a good opportunity to sell up for an inflated price, even if we're not "established" as such.

Next Season:1st in Championship

2nd Year:15th in Premiership

3rd Year:17th in Premiership

Every1 still with us plus loads of other random players and we will be league cup holders

Success in our first season really, IMO, relies on how well the squad gels together. If pre-season continues going well until the kick-off against Blackpool then hopefully the season will start well too so where we are sitting in the table come christmas will hopefully reflect on where we will finish at the end of the season

At christmas I fully expect city to be in the top half of the table though, anything beneath 10th will have me very disappointed tbh. Although if we do happen to have fallen short of milan's intended target, I don't believe we should start sacking the manager again... thats too drastic and should only happen if we are doing a leeds downward spiral!!

Your stupid posts are beginning to annoy me now.

If we go up this year, we're going to have a huge disadvantage (finances) for next year. There's nothing wrong with being optimistic but this is more than optimistic. Possibly a dream.

Interesting that not a single post so far suggests that we will be relegated to the third tier, which is what we have been flirting with the last couple of seasons.

I hope we do well and make progress, but the plight of Forest and Leeds tell us that it only takes a few bad decisions, a run of poor form and some financial problems, and before you know where you are, you are down there and playing Tranmere on a Friday night...

Hahahaha.

Of course not.

Promotion via playoffs this season

Avoid relegation from the Prem next season

Lower mid-table (but safe) in the Prem the following, with a cup run

Ok being as realistic as possible...

2007/2008- 7th but miss out on being promoted

2008/2009- 2nd and promoted

2009/2010- 16th and safe, but needing to build for the future.

Captain: Either Weso which I would love being Aussie, or Kaebi

I reckon MM and MA still here.. but MM joined by another rich russian oil tycoon once we are promoted and MA being offered jobs at Blackburn and Newcastle... ;)

I'm not having a go or anything, just curious.

Do you support us because we have Australian players or have you always supported us?

No problem at all... nah, I support you because my cousin lives over there, honest to truth.. I once upon a time supported Leeds United, because they were once a great club, however after what happened to the aussie players there and the stupidity of management.. I decided to support someone else in around 2001, and I am so glad I did, because Leeds make me laugh now.. and I'd be saddened to support them now.

After thinking about supporting Ipswich, I ended up supporting Leicester as my cousins moved over there from OS... and yeah seeing as they were there, I thought I'd support their local team. I've supported Leicester since 2002 and have been here since the whole Premiership rollercoaster back to the championship and all the bad and now the good.

It's pleasing we have Aussie's in the side... that's an added bonus now, but it's always been because I feel with my cousins there to start off with and now having been through the good and the bad, a sense of belonging to the Foxes, even if I live a long way away... :scarf:
