Granno Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ord/6947668.stm Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd has warned Premier League clubs off Marlon King by slapping a £60m price tag on the striker.
Tevez Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 What a load of rubbish, if someone offered 20M he would accept.
The Reverend Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 5 million he'd accept. They are not a big club!!
Bluefoxtim Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 What a load of rubbish, if someone offered 20M he would accept. Course he bloody would Obviously he isn't worth that, it just another way of saying "I'm not going to sell him"
Maybes Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 5 million he'd accept.They are not a big club!! Derby bid 6.5million aparantly.
Bryn Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 That's 12 Kenwyne Joness that Actually, when you put it like that...
filbertway Posted 15 August 2007 Posted 15 August 2007 What he's saying is the Prem to them is worth £60,000,000. If they sold Marlon then they could say bye bye to getting to the Prem, so basically he's not for sale.
Raj Posted 16 August 2007 Posted 16 August 2007 Am i the only one to think that he IS worth £60 Million????
Marlon King Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 i think Kenwyne Jones is worth twice that Obviously Marlons not worth 60. Like other users have said - it's a way to fend off potential bidders. We couldn't afford to loose him. Going by players we have sold in the past (e.g Ashley Young 9.75m) I wouldn't be happy with anything less than 15million (seeing as he is our best player AND best chance of promotion).

Marlon - talking about yourself in the third person is like SO last week.
Marlon King Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Marlon - talking about yourself in the third person is like SO last week. Haha. SORRY. I think I'm worth 60million.
Geo V Posted 17 August 2007 Posted 17 August 2007 Im just glad he followed the footsteps of so many recent Forest forwards and couldnt be that bothered when playing for them. King, Silenzi, Van Hoojdonk and the rest all went from veing good to shite by just slipping that ghastly shirt on. BTW, I think King is worth at least £60m
