"Coney Island, they called Coney Island the playground of the world. There was no place like it. In the whole world. Like Coney Island when I was a youngster, no place in the world like it. It was so fabulous. Now it's shrunk down to almost nothing, you see. And I still remember in my mind how things used to be, and, er, you know. I feel very bad. But people from all over the world came here. From all over the world. And they. The playground, they called it the playground of the world over here. Anyways, I. I even, when I was very small, I even got lost in Coney Island. But they found me. On the beach. And we used to sleep on the beach here, sleep over night. They don't do it anymore, things change. They don't sleep any more on the beach."

Don't just stop at that, listen to MORE DJ Shadow.

He really is one of the greatest producers of the modern era.

Agreed.

Only just getting in to his stuff, like it a lot though.

As well as his solo albums such as Endtroducing and The Private Press check out the work he did under Unkle (album called Psyence Fiction is absolutely quality) as well as the rare funk and hip hop mixes he does with Cut Chemist (one of the DJ's (along with Nu-Mark) out of Jurassic 5) such as Brainfreeze and Product Placement...

Oh and then there's the Soulsides stuff amongst other things he's done with the likes of Blackalicious.

He's a bloody legend!

Da bomb!!!

Is indeed. My favourite of their albums. Think Fez prefers Nia and they also released a third called The Craft.

To be honest they're all quality. Similar (ish) to Jurassic 5 in that they occupy the nice funky end of hip hop although they take things in a bit more of a soul direction.

Well worth checking out TPH.
