Bryn Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Gonna be an interesting one I think. Wesolowski will be out by the sounds of it and it also sounds like a number of our players are quite tired. I think this will be even more so than Forest a sign of Megson's intentions, and I think we'll go out looking to steal the win off them. I'd play this; Fulop Chambers McAuley Kisnorbo SheehanKaebi King Clemence FerreiraHume Fryatt Subs; Henderson, Mattock, Stearman, Campbell, De Vries For some reason I really think Hume and Fryatt will be the right partnership at Charlton. Fryatt definately deserves a start. If Thracian is right King is the best replacement for Wesolowski. Chambers and Kaebi should form a hugely penetrative right hand side, and Sheehan has attributes that make him our current best option at left-back, with Ferreira finally showing his face. N'Gotty and De Vries (who is less effective in an away setup it seems) get rests, with Stearman on the bench rather than N'Gotty because he provides more options. However, I think Megson will go with; Fulop Chambers McAuly Kisnorbo MattockHume Kishishev Clemence SheehanDe Vries Fryatt
Wezleylowski Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Fulop Chambers McAuly Kisnorbo MattockKaebi Kishishev Clemence SheehanHume Fryatt Thats what i would play. I think we should give Hume and Fryatt another go up top. With decent players backing them up they could get goals, and with Fryatt looking sharp and DJ looking shit why not.
Tommeh Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 ---------------------Fulop---------------------- Chambers--Kisnorbo--McAuley--Sheehan Hume--Clemence--Wesolowski--Ferreira ----------------Fryatt---De Vries------------ obviously in hoping Wesolwski is fit, if he isn't kishishev would be the obvious replacement.
Joe. Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 ---------------------Fulop----------------------Chambers--Kisnorbo--McAuley--Sheehan Hume--Clemence--Wesolowski--Ferreira ----------------Fryatt---De Vries------------ Wouldn't argue with that
Simi Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Fulop Chambers Kisnorbo McAuley Sheehan Kaebi Clemence Weso (?) Kish Ferreia Hume De Vries/Cort I hope we don't go into this game in seach of a point. These are games we've got to be going into looking to get wins if we want to be up there, come the end of the season. Sadly I think we will see a much less attacking team than this, especially the wingers. Having to defend against the likes of Reid, I think it's important Chambers plays at right back as N Gotty could be exposed for pace. De Vries didn't have the best of games last night, either him or Cort need to start though I think.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Fulop Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo Sheehan Kaebi Clemence Chambers Ferreira Fryatt Hume Subs; Hendo, N'Gotty, Newton, de Vries/Cort, Campbell
azza89 Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Djeziri could get a look in on the bench maybe against Charlton Then again probably not...
dog_4 Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I'd consider putting hume alongside clemence in an anker man roll with fryatt and de vries upfront.
Lillehamring Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 fulop chambers - (mcaully or n'gotty) - kisnorbo - mattockferriera (if he has a good ressies game) - kishishev - clem - sheehanfryatt - hume kaebi just won't play, stearman may have done enough to oust chambers, but as it's away i think chambers is a more solid choice. mattock, had a good solid game so why change, especially as, by most accounts, he linked up well with sheehan. kishishev is the natural replacement for weso, chambers was hobson's choice at forest. campbell & devries, just don't seem to be performing (at least they sounded pish at forest) fryatt must have done enough in ressies and last night - also not in tonights team so likely to feature somewhere... only one that might be doubtful is ferriera, the fact that he was on the bench suggests he's defo in the picture, if he doesn't make it, i guess chambers, with stearman at the back... but the above is what i'd like to see. thank you

I'd think the reason Fryatt isn't involved tonight is because he was involved last night?
Lamby Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I reckon Charltons team will be Weaver Mills--Bougherra--McCarthy--Fortune Ambrose--Semedo--Reid--Sam Todorov--Varney
BigGibbo Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Fulop 10 other blokes Thats pretty much my opinion

Micky Ruddle Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 GK: Fulop RB N'Gotty ** CB: Kisnorbo CB: McAuley ** LB: Mattock RM: Hume CM: Weso (if fit) or Kishishev CM: Clemence © LM: Sheehan FW: de Vries FW: DJ Campbell ** ** Either McAuley at RB and Bruno at CB or vice versa
Moreton Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 Fulop Chambers McAuley Kisnorbo MattockHume Kish/Weso-(if fit) Clemence SheehanDe vries Carl Cort Subs: Henderson, Stearman, Hayes or Kaebi, Ferreira, Dj I dunno
Thracian Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I have assumed that Wesolowski won't be fit. Fulop; Chambers, McAuley, Kisnorbo, Mattock; Kaebi, King, Clemence, Sheehan; Fryatt, DeVries. Subs: Henderson, Stearman, Porter, Hume, Campbell. Difficult away game. I've retained the two big strong centre-backs rather than introducing Stearman because, with DeVries, they might snatch a goal from set pieces. Chambers and Kaebi would give us passing pace on the right and, although tempted to play Hume/Fryatt up front I really feel we'll need a big man to hold the ball and to perhaps benefit from sheehan's crosses. DeVries remains preferable to Cort in that role. King would have freedom to play in the hole behind Hume and DeVries with Sheehan covering and providing supplementary attacking back-up. King's presence will give us good passing and scoring potential in midfield with the result that we really would have enough attacking potential to win the match. He is also a perfectly capable defender when required and not the sort to panic coming out from the back. Fryatt is included in preference to Hume and Campbell because his runs seem to suit King, because he's probably our second best forward aerially and because I rather fancy a MON type option of launching McAuley, Kisnorbo, DeVries, King and Fryatt into the box at set plays. A rest on the bench won't do Hume any harm. Porter could be a replacement in central or wide midfield with Stearman to come on at centre-back, full-back or defensive midfield.
