lee7 Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 FulopChambers Kisnorbo McAuley Sheehan Kaebi Clemence Weso (?) Kish Ferreia Hume De Vries/Cort I hope we don't go into this game in seach of a point. These are games we've got to be going into looking to get wins if we want to be up there, come the end of the season. Sadly I think we will see a much less attacking team than this, especially the wingers. Having to defend against the likes of Reid, I think it's important Chambers plays at right back as N Gotty could be exposed for pace. De Vries didn't have the best of games last night, either him or Cort need to start though I think. i thought reid was slow
Simi Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 i thought reid was slow Last time I checked he was pretty quick. Loud Sam likely to play wide left anyway.
potter3 Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 i thought reid was slow I'd rather Chambers played RB whoever we played anyway.
Lovejoy Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 IDEALLY: Fulop Chambers McAuley Kisnorbo Sheehan Kaebi Clemence Kishishev Ferreira Deep Freeze Humaldinho
crisp monster Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 get on Clem to score first Paddy should give us a penalty at some stage so seems a good bet.

Charnwood Norris Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 I agree more or less, Campbell was poop against Forest, his punishment - none-start. If we'd had beaten QPR up, we could've been 5th. If we beat up Charlton... well it'll be like a creamy beer! I still don't rate Mattock's defensive qualities - the lad looks like a fawn without it's mother at left back, imo. Anybody agree? Fulop Chambers, Kisnorbo, McAuley, SheehanKaebi, Wesolowski, Clemence, Ferrari TesarossaHume, De Fries
Thracian Posted 19 September 2007 Posted 19 September 2007 nice idea - but seriously - charlton away? - can you see megson not playing kishishev and clem in the middle of the park? Depends if he wants to be vulnerable through reducing our scoring potential, our creativity and our mobility in the defensive middle of our team or whether he wants to be rather more positive. I quite like Kishishev as a defensive midfielder because he plays things simple but I doubt he is fully match fit and would be very loathe to use him with two central defenders who themselves seem vulnerable against mobile attackers. I would keep Kishishev in reserve. If Megson chooses to go a different way I hope it works. But with City conceding over a goal a game we will need goals and at least five potential scorers to have a realistic chance of victory. Anything less and I'd say a draw was our best hope and that's not good enough because our home form has been predictably indifferent. The "win at home, draw away" theory has, rather like a cullinder, failed to hold water and, instead, we've already dropped five home points out of nine. We need away wins to win back the shortfall.
Ric Flair Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I think DJ Campbell's pace against McCarthy will be crucial, Campbell is starting to win free-kicks and penalties for us and against a serial offender like McCarthy, i'd keep DJ in for this game. If it isn't working then it can be changed around, but I think Campbell is due a stormer. Fulop (the best Goalie in the league) Chambers N'Gotty Kisnorbo Sheehan Ferreira Clemence Kishishev Hume Fryatt DJ Subs: de Vries, Kaebi, Henderson, Mattock, Stearman
Raj Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I aint into this formation stuff, but i'd go all out! Fulop N'Gotty Kisnorbo...He used to be shite, but now he's alright McCauley Hume Clemence Weso...Kishichev(If Weso is unfit, hope he is 'cos Kishi is Crap!!) Sheehan Fryatt MdV DJ Thats the winning team
Finn Claw Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I aint into this formation stuff Yet you set out your team in a 3 -4 -3 formation? I think the team will be Fulop Ngotty - Kisnorbo - McAuley - Sheehan Hume - Clemence - Kisishiv - Mattock Campbell - Fryatt The team i'd like to see Fulop Chambers - Kisnorbo - McAuley - Sheehan Hume - Clemence - Porter - Mattock Campbell - Fryatt I'll probably be shouted down for putting porter in the centre of midfield but i'd play either him or Newton someone who is a bit more creative - King will never play.
Raj Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Yet you set out your team in a 3 -4 -3 formation?I'll probably be shouted down for putting porter in the centre of midfield Whats a 3-4-3???? Porter in centre midfield ....are you asking to be shouted at!!!???
Finn Claw Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 I'm sort of making the same point as you in that i'd like us to take the game to Charlton, hence not playing Kisishiv (can't spell that one). Hence wanting to put someone who can pass in the middle. I'd settle for Newton by all accounts he has been doing quite well, slightly too old legs for me though.
Charnwood Norris Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Oh, a very professional diamond Sir

Daggers Posted 20 September 2007 Posted 20 September 2007 Kishishev has been nothing short of a lumbering plank that's only good at negative short balls; he contributed little against Blackpool and got subbed off and then proved to be wholly ineffective against the mighty QPR.
