Micky Ruddle Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 .....goes to: Gary Megson. NOTW reports Gary Megson is hot favourite to be named Championship Manager Of The Month. The New Leicester boss gave Nottm Forest a goal start in their replayed Carling Cup tie last week - after the first game was abandoned with Forest leading 1-0 when Foxes' Clive Clarke had a heart attack. That gesture won Megson worldwide acclaim and a Football League spokesman said: "Leicester's actions demonstrate football at it's very best." News of The World - pg 88.
Ajax Treesdown Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 He is a legend He is my manager of the month
Joe. Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 In my opinion it'd be wrong t give it to Megson. I know the gesture of ours was brilliant but it was in the cup and it was Milan's idea anyway wasn't it? Manager of the month should be given on results merits and therefore should not go to Megson.
Ozwin Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Mandaric has probably paid off the people who decide the MOTM so we're in the news just that little bit more.
Nath Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 We don't want it, we wont win then... Shit, we don't win anyway Pffft.
filbertway Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I'd rtaher he didn't get it for the simple fact that, getting manager of the month is a curse and = worse results. We struggle to get a win in most games as it is.
Simi Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Gary Johnson - Bristol City Exactly. It would be wrong for us to get it I think as it was a gesture from the whole club.
filbertway Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 Gary Johnson - Bristol City Fair call, I'd rather that said Gary Johnson - Leiceester City though
Daggers Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 I'd rather see him named 2007's Princess of Hearts
Matt Posted 23 September 2007 Posted 23 September 2007 So is Colin Calderwood going to get it because he was kind enough to abandon at h/t in the first tie? Besides it the CHAMPIONSHIP manager of the month and that sportsmanship was in the Carling Cup... What a joke. Mind you they say the manager of the month award is a jinx, we're already in the shit so maybe it'll have the reverse effect on up
Raj Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 We should get it. We should also get an automatic slot in the UEFA Cup too via the Fair Play thing. We would take Europe by storm.
Neil982 Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 We should get it.We should also get an automatic slot in the UEFA Cup too via the Fair Play thing. We would take Europe by storm. Hehe, the same way we took Redstar by storm last time?
Dr The Singh Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Megson deserves a prize........a free night out at stringfellows or Rhino's, it might liven him up abit!!
Master Fox Posted 24 September 2007 Posted 24 September 2007 Megson deserves a prize........a free night out at stringfellows or Rhino's, it might liven him up abit!! If he's getting a free night out at either of those places, I want one as well!!
