Vacamion Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 he is disgustingly ugly and has a name reminiscent of d*ck-cheese. If you could put that line to music, I'm sure it would catch on...
Geo V Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Imagine how GM would feel and maybe even his selected 11 if one minute into the game they heard a rendition of "Gary Megsons Blue and White Army" or something like that at least. The players must feel the apprehension on match days with a manager who isn't universally liked and in some cases and unfairly, not respected. Give him a plain old song and if he starts getting results, then be creative with a special one! Managers need to do something to get continuous support from the stands but for now, lets blurt out a few goes at a plain one for the GM!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 You answers in this thread - to get a chant going, you need at least 8-10 people around you to join in, and then it reverberates - looks like you'd struggle - my tip, have a go if we take the lead.

Cant understand the chants for Taggart either But i dont think he would leave if Megson does, which ofcourse he won't because he will turn things around and end up being our most succesful manager ever!

ASH17LCFC Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 fook off Gary Megson, Oh what can it mean too a, Crap ginger bastard and a, Shit football team
OldburyWBA Posted 2 October 2007 Posted 2 October 2007 Folks, West Brom fan here in peace Gary Megson !! Came to West Brom and to be honest it was mixed some were pleased, others not so. I was one of the wait and see type. His football was not the most thrilling but it got results, once he was allowed to get the players he wanted and the team were solid, results came (mainly 1-0) and as you know he got us promoted twice, if he had been backed by the chairman once we got there, who knows ? He was linked with some decent players including Eduardo who is now at Arsenal ,but the rumurs are our chairman wouldn't pay the £3m fee. He won't be everyones choice but given time he will get you in a decent position in this league. Why he took the Forest job, i'll never know, he was onto a loser from the off. Good luck for the season and I hope he convinces you he is the man. I would love nothing more than us 2 to go up this season and Derby and Bham to come the other way.

Good luck to you too but I think we`ll need the luck more than you do! GM is getting some flak but he hasnt had the chance to bring hios own team in and has been left to try to gel 14 new players in and also involve last seasons players which isn't easy, especially as most of the fans didn't want him appointed in the first place and some elements of the fans are already booing.

The Kop sang this a few times in the second half. Didn't have much effect on events on the pitch.. Will be interesting to see if it's sung at Hillsborough or Glanford Park, though.
Finnegan Posted 3 October 2007 Posted 3 October 2007 Megson for Eng-land! Megson for Eng-land!

As Ive said before, despite getting increasingly fudge doff with the way things are going, its not GM`s fault and he deserves backing. He has made soem poor choices in team selection IMO but has also managed some good tactical selections and substitutions albeit in the cup. We should continue to back him but I fear for him and MM if we lose up at Hillsboough on Saturday as that result would probably put us 2nd bottom going into the International break.
