AoWW Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Fouling Potter is akin to pulling the legs off craneflies, kicking wounded dead dogs and taking candy from small children. You're mean.
Bert Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Fook it then back to Plan A.LD3. Pick on someone your own size.
General Smuts Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Pick on someone your own size. He is! When im kneeling.
Bert Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 He is!When im kneeling. Note to U21'S. LFF is on the list.
General Smuts Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Note to U21'S.LFF is on the list. I can't wait for this game!
AoWW Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Sould I bring a first aid kit? Just in case, like...
General Smuts Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Sould I bring a first aid kit? Just in case, like... Magic sponge, some sticky plasters and a kiss better.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 January 2008 Author Posted 4 January 2008 A couple of quick notes, after driving past Victoria park last week and seeing about 12 full sized pitches, non of which were being used by anyone at the time, I've pretty much decided that I'm not going to pre book the pitch this time, saves us all (and by us all I mean mainly me) money, it's a pointless exercise anyway as I somewhat doubt 12 pitches will be in use on a cold and/or wet Saturday afternoon in January, I doubt two will be in use tbh. Thirdly the FA might kindly decide to re arragne a league game for that date a short notice. Also I've remembred it gets dark at about half four so to avoid having a penalty shoot out in the dark (I doubt that will happen but it's possible) the kicking off time will be moved forwards.
Durnerz Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Shall do my best to get the day off for this game, the last one was a superb outing so I'm very much up for this game. James you and me in the middle fo' shizzle!

Durnerz Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 You got it. This is still Sunday 27th January isnt it? Forgive my lazyness for not trawling back through the thread.
The People's Hero Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 Well it says this. Over 21's Vs Under 21's, Victoria Park, 2pm, Saturday January 27th. But Saturday is 26th Sunday is 27th. I imagine it must have meant 26th, to facilitate copious drinking afterwards and safe passage home on Sunday.

After a bit of gentle persuasive violence anyhoo.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 January 2008 Author Posted 4 January 2008 I've just thought, we're due to play Palace the Tuesday after the date of the 4th round, and Watford a couple of Tuesdays after that, surley if we go out without a replay the FA will just move one of those games forwards to the Saturday of the 4th round (Watford and Palace are playing each other) This really was a silly idea.

I'd have thought they'd only move the Palace game. So root for Palace.

Finnegan Posted 4 January 2008 Posted 4 January 2008 There really has to be enough of us that could play on the Sunday, surely, if push came to shove? I mean we have to decide whether the fun of the game is worth putting our lazyness and alco-lust asside for a day? I appreciate it's harder to get a pitch on a Sunday, too. But TWELVE pitches?

As I've told you it's more about the distances people need to come and the fact that alof of people will have forked out on football the day before that make Sunday a problem.

Aye, but how bad is Sunday travel really? And how many need to travel that far? Let's ignore the U21s for a second because I assume 90% of them are local. Who in our squad, realistically, just couldn't make a Sunday at all? Regardless of effort.

Public transport doesn't run on a Sunday in Lincolnshire.
Manwell Pablo Posted 4 January 2008 Author Posted 4 January 2008 Public transport doesn't run on a Sunday in Lincolnshire. Uno. I'm guessing Hullfox for two James for three, don't see JTB doing it, Fez might run into trouble. Any one who lives outside of Leicestershire really. The Foss city boys all play Sunday League as does Sparkey for the West End I think. Sundays not happening mate.

I'd be there but none of the others you listed would realistically make it IMO. Has to be Saturday, I agree.

If this falls through and we're desperate to have it ASAP the only other oppurtunity would be Good Friday or if one of our games gets postponed due to our oppenents playing in the cup. Failing that, end of season again.
