Phube Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Why are they ALL either Scousers or Cockneys??? Not being funny, just an observation...
stez Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Why are they ALL either Scousers or Cockneys??? Raj Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Why are they ALL either Scousers or Cockneys??? Not being funny, just an observation... Except Arthur Scargill of course. Or did you just mean Current ones?

Thracian Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Most Union leaders I came across always made sure their own bread was well buttered, Scargill included. That being the case I often wonder how they would have run businesses of their own.

Jon the Hat Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Like all business owners - making sure their own bread was well buttered? Exactly, making them no better than the businesses they condemn, and in fact, hypocritical ars@holes. There are few people who exploit so blatantly as Unions leaders.

You almost got the point but then lost it again almost instantaneously.

lcfc_jme Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Jesus! Was a Militant Union Leader? Or was he a Scouser? Please tell me he wasn't from Yorkshire!?
lookwhaticando Posted 13 October 2007 Posted 13 October 2007 Was a Militant Union Leader? Or was he a Scouser? Please tell me he wasn't from Yorkshire!? Definitely a scouser. He took from the rich. Or was that Robin Hood? I bet Jesus was from Yorkshire... sounds about right. God (also of Yorkshire) knows how he wound up in Jerusalem, though... unless that's the name of a pub in Sheffield.
Rincewind Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Why are they all scousers or yorkshiremen (not sure about cocneys) Well they are up t' north which traditionally had the most hard done to and put on workers. All the dirtiest industries were north from Sheffield and it's steel to Newcastle and its foundary's. Many still believe they get the worst deal. It's too far for MP's based in London to go and see for themselves and mix with the common people which is why when in parliment ask the question 'Why do all militant union leaders come from the north?

Phube Posted 14 October 2007 Author Posted 14 October 2007 bob crowe? Exactly... and there was some other chap on the other day from some other crappy Union... in support of the (work-shy, lazy) posties. He was as Cockney as they come!!! Only one good Union... the Student's Union!!!
Daggers Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Exactly... and there was some other chap on the other day from some other crappy Union... in support of the (work-shy, lazy) posties. He was as Cockney as they come!!!Only one good Union... the Student's Union!!! Gradations of Cockneyness - I never knew such existed. But if it does, then I don't think anything can be more cockney than:
Smudge Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Definitely a scouser. He took from the rich. Or was that Robin Hood? I bet Jesus was from Yorkshire... sounds about right. lookwhaticando Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Nottingham "Among many other attractions Nottingham proudly boasts the Trip to Jerusalem, the oldest pub in England - a unique distinction shared with 117 other English pubs. Coincidentally, the oldest pub in Israel is called A day out to Centre Parcs." I was aware of the Trip's existence, by the way.
Daggers Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Gotta love The Trip. My favourite pub in Nottingham by miles
Thracian Posted 14 October 2007 Posted 14 October 2007 Gotta love The Trip.My favourite pub in Nottingham by miles Agree again! :D
Guest Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 Gotta love The Trip.My favourite pub in Nottingham by miles Do you want to marry Sir Fynwy? You share the same taste in pubs, and a love of cheese and onion rolls that I could never understand.
Zingari Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 trip to jerusalem's ok, but it could do with some new double glazed widows and perhaps having an irish theme decor
Alexikokopops Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 Do you want to marry Sir Fynwy? You share the same taste in pubs, and a love of cheese and onion rolls that I could never understand. Cheese and onion rolls are bloody brilliant.
Rincewind Posted 15 October 2007 Posted 15 October 2007 best to leave them until after the honeymoon though.
