Has being a City fan ever got you into trouble?

As the title asks, have you ever got into trouble supporting City down the years? It could be fights, with family, the missus or whatever?? Please give your best examples as I have just been accused of a good un for getting someones birthday messed up today!

Today, my cousins birthday. BBQ on the go as we speak, everyones there and I have been phoned 5 times in the last hour being called all sorts of names because they haven't got Sky and I am staying put to watch the game!!

Another was a few years ago when we were going for promotion and were away to Palace. I was a retail manager and worked Saturdays but booked the day off way in advance for a mates wedding on the same day. As the days came closer to the wedding which was also the match day I phoned my mate and said I was ill and will come later once I "sweated it off". I then put on a show that I was ill so good that people were calling me every spare minute they had. I sneaked off to watch the game by myself and whilst I was out I heard that my dad and sister had come to my flat to see how I was doing in between the church and reception and because I didn't answer my door, they paniced and the old man kicked the door in and found I wasn't home. It all kicked off when I turned up late at the reception as it took my dad two hours to wait for some dude to come back and patch up my door so he and my sister could leave to get back to the wedding.

:D:D

That Door story is a good un!!

I aint got anything as interesting as that except a few"incidents' many years ago at away games, including a very close ejection(OI OI!!!!) at Coventry City by the West Mids Constabulary for shouting abuse at the Cov fans!(i've grown up since then ;) )

Always have issues with the family when it comes to parties/trips as they know not to even ask me if City are at home!!!

Great excuse to miss any trips to the in-laws!!! :D

"Sorry Dear i'd love to visit your parents but City are playing at home again"

"But Raj its Sunday morning!!!"

:unsure::rolleyes:

I`ve been caught in quite a few mini scuffles when traveling away on matchday, back in the day but not so much these days thankfully!

I think the nastiest trouble in a pub away from home was at Sunderland one year (so long ago they played at Roker park) and we just went in for beer pre-match and got confronted by a few and we were then asked to leave and chased to our car lol

well not really trouble exactly... Think i might of posted this on a thread a few weeks back...

Things were going great with my gf.. so well i thought i would pay her the honor of inviting her to a city game... so i did. Her response?

" can i bring a book?"

it didnt last long after that....

many years ago i was having a saturday night in with g/f and we had a takeaway and couple of bottles of wine in front of the tv , and it eventually led to some passionate love making on the carpet with her straddled on top of me .

sods law; MOTD came on tv and it was leicester v arsenal and i could not stop myself peering over her shoulder to watch the game , needless to say she cottoned on to what i was doing , gave a very rough pelvic thrust and got up and stormed off ,

women hey :dunno:

What is wrong with football teams back there?

Surely one of them must score a goal a bit more often than we do. :D

After being with my girlfriend for a few weeks/months/whatever, she said that we never really go out together very much so I had a brainwave, took her to the Carling cup game against Macclesfield about a year ago then took her for a kebab at marios. Didn't go down very well :S

Well .. I remember being dropped from my school team because my teacher was Cov, he brought me on in the semis of a cup game we were 2-1 down .. i scored twice and in sheer "in your face" at my own manager/teacher i lifted my shirt too reveal my Black Leicester Shirt with a light blue stripe down the front, and Izzet on the back and kissed the badge.

...

I was dropped for the final.

We lost 1-0.

Fairytale over.

Before the forest game, me and mates me dad and his mates went into pub near the ground and found we were in a predominant forest pub, with hundreds of reds shirts blinding us on our way to the bar. We got out amongst glares and abuse and only as we sat down on the benches outside we noticed the 'STRICTLY NO AWAY FANS' sign. We were wearing Leicester shirts.

I got arrested at Selhurst Park a few years ago for possession of something I shouldn't have been possessing.

I would've got away with it if my mate hadn't looked so battered  - the coppers cottoned on and searched us as we were walking in to the ground.

Oh I forgot about this one lol! I got slung out of Barnsley`s Oakwell stadium for being abusive to a steward. It was at HT and he was giving me these looks like I had just porked his missus. I asked him what he was looking at and after a few secs it kicked off. I think we lost the match and I was sat outside listening to the cheers for updates. I havent been to Barnsley for years but it was the weirdest place as you had to walk through what seemed like a mile in these muddy fields to get to the stadium lol.

Funny that this thread shouls pop up!

I was in Birmingham last night to watch the enemy. Plenty of Cov fans had gone over. Singing about their "Homes".

I started singing Leicestershire la la la, with two of my mates, to turn around and see everyone around me staring. :)

I remember some of the trouble I got in being a Leicester fan was dodging missiles at stamford bridge in 1987, I think we lost easily and got relegated soon after. If my memory serves me right we only need to get 5 points from the last 5 games to say up....but my memory is fading lol.

Probably not what you meant by trouble though.
