Has anyone got a single ticket they don't need

Hi Potter, you can have my season ticket (tonight only!!) if I can swap my 2 free tickets with Mikelcfc for 3 of his. I'm trying to get my brother down the City, this should be a good game to start him on. :scarf: I really could do with 3 tickets together rather than one in E2 & 2 freebies in block J.

From OS

Leicester supporters who are yet to secure their seats for Monday night's Championship clash against Cardiff City at the Walkers Stadium are reminded that the tickets will be available until kick off on the day (subject to availability).

The Club confirmed on Friday that they had less than 2,000 tickets available in home areas of the ground for the fixture - and it is thought that Saturday's fantastic 2-0 victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate will only further the demand for seats for the game.

No, of course not.

I want my club to support it's fans that make an effort week in week out. I want my club to back ideas that fans put forward, then to carry on backing them, not run away from them.

I appreciate people will take advantage of this offer. I know it sounds like I'm taking my frustration out on the fans that are going, but in truth it's the club I'm annoyed at. For claiming this to be an award for ST holders when in reality, it's the same free ticket policy they've been employing for the last few weeks.

This guys a nob.

Stop moaning about Loyalty bla bla bla.

It's boring.

Well done for you for paying for your season ticket and a massive pat on the back aswell for going to countless away games. But your aregument is that you would rather have less people at the game tonight because they haven't paid for their ticket.

My advice would be to write to the club and moan, not preach on here about how much of a fantastic supporter you are. If it makes you feel better, I have managed to go to 3 games this season without paying and turned two opportunities to go aswell.

Without season ticket holders you wouldn't have a club to turn down the opportunity to go and see.

Im not moaning about season tkt holders fez. I used to be one myself. im just saying dont moan about the opportunity to raise the gate at a leicester games by more means than one. From the business point of view Milan will be doing it for a shop window effect, more people going than usually do, and if they see a decent games of footy then they are more than likely going to come back and watch Leicester again (paying next time)

Therefore this means more money in his pocket in the long run, more profit for the club and a better chance of spending more money in improving the club which everybody want's. Simple business really.

There is also a fair chance that although people wont pay to get into the game they will pay for refreshments and money on merchandise etc etc.

Everyones happy

I think the point Ched is making is not about giving out free tickets per se but disguising it as a 'reward' for ST holders. I claimed my 4 tickets and gave them away so yes the gate will increase because of it and although some ST holders may have 'gained' by selling their tickets I personally couldn't do that on principle so therefore I see no reward for me as a ST holder in this deal and before anyone says so I wasn't looking for a reward either.

I may have misread it but I think Ched's more annoyed (and it grates with me as well a little bit) that this is dressed up as an offer for season ticket holders when in reality it's just another free ticket offer that, if anything, actually devalues a season ticket.

I think basically it comes down to whether you feel you can ask people to pay for their "free" ticket, because if you're happy to do that and they're willing to pay a fiver or a tenner then it's a good offer for everyone.

Sorry to repeat, was posting this as davieG replied. Similar sort of thing.

Yeah they're all gone now mate.

I understand that but surely the main point is that the marketing bods have sold this under the banner of "Club rewards loyal Season Ticket Holders" when in what way shape or form can you say this is true it's rewarding the friends and family of season ticket holders and not them at all!!

*** EDIT ***

have just read that me, Fez and DavieG posted almost exactly the same within about 3minutes of each other :D

Yep your correct totally..it's just that some ST holders may have fell for the marketing ploy and thought 'great the club loves us' but in reality its just a money making scheme and a promotion of the club. On tele aswell, any coincidence?

How could Milan avoid a half empty ground Live on sky...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

So why are you having a go at Ched when it's obvious he hasn't fell for the marketing ploy and thought 'great the club loves us' and clearly recognises that it's a money making scheme and a promotion of the club.

All Ched seems to be asking for, and I support him on this is for the club not to 'use' the ST holders and pretend they are doing them a favour. By all means, if that's whats needed give out free tickets but at least they should be honest about it.

You've got a point but if you think anyone is going to be impressed by the performance tonight and going to pay 20 quid to come back then your deluded.

Fez and davieG have nailed why I'm a little pissed off.

Tommy G, you were very quick to change your tune weren't you? If you just wanted to have a dig at me that's fine. ;)

I know I may come across as a dick with matters revolving the club, but you should really have a look at yourself before you accuse me of only 'preaching' on here, because you really do have no idea do you?

If you changed that to involving then it would make your post make sense

Or revolving around the club, I think that's what he meant.

This shouldn't be about peoples use of grammar anyway.

The point Ched is trying to make is that the club have wrongly advertised the free ticket offer as a reward for season ticket holders. I haven't felt rewarded.

Tommy G, are you a season ticket holder? You clearly don't see what Ched is getting at.

Im not an ST holdr but used to be. Its not a reward for Season ticket holders, but it got people into the ground last night which is in the best interest for the club.

But it was disguised as a reward for season ticket holders.

On my way home last night I was sat near 2 blokes who clearly don't go to many games talking about how crap we were last night. It was a good performance.

The 2 blokes obviously don't see us on our bad days unlike most people, thats what annoys me about part time supporters.

They think they know everything there is to know about our team. I'm not saying that the people who go to every game are any better than part time supporters, but they have a better understanding of what goes on.
