Ultra Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 I think Simon's ratings are amongst the best I've read in this thread. Branding Hayes shit is comical, tbh and Ultra's remark about Fryatt was predictably attention seeking. But you can't bring yourself to say it's wrong though, can you? Maybe because it isn't!
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Hayes reminds me of Aiden McGeady He presses forward, gets an occasional good cross in... But then loses it / gets muscled off it / falls over Some good promise there but it will take time to mature
Manwell Pablo Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 But you can't bring yourself to say it's wrong though, can you?Maybe because it isn't! Alright I will, your wrong.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Fook knows 'cos I actually fell sleep in my chair in the second half.
Finnegan Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 But you can't bring yourself to say it's wrong though, can you?Maybe because it isn't! Alright. Here goes. Are you listening? You. Are. Wrong. Happy? And Jamie, shut up and get back in your corner. If you're that bored - don't fooking go, no one's making you.
lcfc_jme Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 And Jamie, shut up and get back in your corner. If you're that bored - don't fooking go, no one's making you. Nah I know that, and I won't be going to another game. 'Cos apparently I'm a plastic fan and only go when free tickets get given out. And people like me piss loyal fans off. So says the loyal L1'er who wanted to fight me after the game.

James. Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 You're a bigger fooking drama queen than Phube. It's so true. This type of moaning along with Standupandsing' constant whinging about the atmosphere (which, over the TV sounded pretty decent at times last night) is royally pissing me off. Shut up.

Finn Claw Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 The game was certainly encouraging. Sheehan's corners could turn into a very useful weapon, needs to vary them a little bit more though Good to see Stearman playing better than he has for a long time. Hopefully King can add some much needed competition for the midfield places. Hayes I won't judge until I've seen him a bit more, flashes of excellent play though. Could do with a big man up front. 6.5s all round (I still think people on this site are a bit too generous with there ratings - a 9 should be reserved for someone clearly too good for this league, I'd only say that applies to Fulop so far)
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 It was encouraging. Terrific contest and we so nearly squeezed a victory.Quite agree about the players you mention. They're all so positive. Kingy's being utilised as a basically holding player but when he gets established, I'm sure he'll get forward more and people will be able to see the attacking side of his game. Hayes is additionally useful because he can also move right across the midfield area and Chambers can go out wide as well as playing in the middle. Both can also help give more pace in attack which is much needed. All offer a slightly different dimension to our side which has been too limited for too long. King has impressed me quite a bit he just seems like a player who could mature into a intelligent midfielder.Plays the simple pass, Not afraid of a tackle and doesnt hoof it all the time! Him and chambers had a decent connection as soon as he turned on it he looked to play it into him.
Webbo Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Can't be arsed to do the full ratings; Hume & Fryatt 6, took one touch too many, too often. Everybody else 6.5/7.
Joe. Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Maybe a bit late but here was my look of things: Fulop 7- Didn't have a lot to do, always looked solid enough. Stearman 5- Looked fairly poor to be honest, needs to improve. McAuley 6- Shocking distribution as usual but always looks solid enough defensively. Kisnorbo - Ditto McAuley Mattock 5- Rash challenge earned him a booking, sometimes looked out of position. Newton 5- What can I say? He's honestly one of the worst players I've seen play for us. No joke. Clemence 5.5- Poor game for his standards. Battled well enough but just looked right off the mark. Weso 6- Can't say I remember much from him if I'm honest. Sheehan 6.5- Not a bad game, corner's looked brilliant, other set-pieces were quite poor I thought. Hume 6- Him and Fryatt were often isolated and not given enough support. Fryatt 6- Ditto Hume Subs: Hayes 5.5- Woeful first touch, crossing looks pretty decent. Does pose a threat at times. King 5.5- Fairly non-existent in the game if I remember rightly. Chambers 7.5- Looked lively, always looking to give and go and to start up attacks. Impressive.
FleckneyFox Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Fulop - 7 - Solid Stearman - 6.5 - Didnt look to troubled should have scored even if it was a brilliant save McAuley - 6 - Struggled when ball was on the floor tried to keep the ball to long Kisnorbo - 6 - Personally for me he didnt look up for it and lost quite alot of headers against Thomson Mattock - 6 - Quiet made a couple of reckless tackles Newton - 6.5 - Moments of brilliance - just moments Wesolowski - 6.5 - Made a couple of darts through midfield but struggled to find his feet Clemence - 6.5 - Made some brilliant passes tried to keep the ball to long ended up being robbed a couple of times Sheehan - 7.5 - Wow those corners were fantastic made a couple of decent breaks down the left Hume - 7 - Showed some excellent touches as usual was quiet at times Fryatt - 7 - Looked electric first 15 mins then faded a little needs to go and put some muscle on in the gym Hayes - 6.5 - Made a couple of decent runs 1 excellent cross for Hume's volley was lively Chambers - 6.5 - Very calm considering it was his debut linked up well also chased down well King - 7 - Was excellent unlike Wes and Clem got the ball and looked for the pass then released it excellent.
sdb Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 That ref certainly seemed to have it in for us first half and how he could ignore Hayes being scythed down on the edge of the box second half I've no idea. It looked like a clip from a wrestling bout. he dived
lee7 Posted 27 November 2007 Posted 27 November 2007 Fulop - 7 Stearman - 7 McAuley - 7 Kisnorbo - 7 Mattock - 6 Newton - 6 Wesolowski - 7 Clemence - 6 Sheehan - 7 Hume - 6 Fryatt - 5 Hayes - 6 Chambers - 7 King - 7
Hullfox Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 It good to hear you praise Sheehan although I don't know that the booking was so much silly as vital. A situation arose which enabled their winger to head the ball inside Sheehan into space behind and there was every chance of a goal. Sheehan clearly recognised this and decided that giving away a free kick was the better option and I think he was right. I was quite surprised they gave Chambers a free role in the centre - it showed a lot of faith in him - but I totally agree that he should be used in a way that helps him acclimatisation gradually and which enables him to use his pace and skill to maximum effect without the need to pace himself particularly. Rubbish. Just watched it again and he committed too early and with no real ambition. That's how the ball got past him so he tripped the bloke. It was inexperience.
ASH17LCFC Posted 28 November 2007 Posted 28 November 2007 It's so true. This type of moaning along with Standupandsing' constant whinging about the atmosphere (which, over the TV sounded pretty decent at times last night) is royally pissing me off. Shut up. Well said, that kid is fooking annoying. Like last night wasn't good or wasn't bad but he shall come out with some shit like ... Call that loud ?! You should go to Germany or non league and sample a real crowd. Ok good point but WE SUPPORT FOOKING LEICESTER NOT STANDING UP AND SINGING. All they do is moan about our home games. Simple don't fooking go and go and support another team why your at it.

Shut up. Says enough for me. If you think the atmosphere at home games are good then fair enough, but don't blame me for moaning AND Actually doing something about it. If you enjoy yourself at home games then thats fine & dandy with me, enjoy your happy clapping.
