Flynny Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fryatt was poor in the last 30 minutes when we were actually attacking, but he played 90 (well, 80-odd) minutes on Saturday and has never been our fittest player anyway. Even when he'd lost his legs he had the odd chance, which speaks his own story. His first touch seemed to get worse the more tired he was, which was odd, but nevermind. Weso wasn't his usual self today. I'll do actual ratings later.
Cheese Me Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I thought Fryatt had a rough ride from the ref, some shocking decisions against him. Very true. Ref was awful all round
Wezleylowski Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 well well ian hollowwords as really sold you lot the south west line good luck Why dont you f'uck off you pasty loving c'unt. We have stolen your manage get over it. Why keep coming back to our forum, we dont care about your wharped opinions willy puller
stix Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 well well ian hollowwords as really sold you lot the south west line good luck GREEN eyed monster springs to mind.........i think we've struck lucky here......SHAME
mancfox Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Masterfox has definately got something against Fryatt, completely unjustified and incorrect in my opinion. He has his weaknesses, which can be summed up by pace, long range shooting and occasional fitness. However, he has incredible close control, awareness and dribbling ability, a good first touch and a good passing ability. What he lacks in pace he makes up for with vision and picks out players with ease. I don't think we have a better natural close range finisher at the club and with another season of regular championship football behind him will become a class act. Some people forget he is only 20/21 and will get better with age. He is not as dynamic as Hume or Campbell and i think this is why he has his boo-boys. I hope he proves you wrong very soon!
Lillehamring Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 based on tv.... Fulop 6 - Little to do, kicking as many hv observed in previous games was not so good Stearman 7.5 - could hv scored twice, for all the past criticism, it was refreshing to see a defender in the final third in open play McCauley 5 - shocking passes at times, Kisnorbo 6 - did what was required Mattock 5 - averge Newton 5 - couple of moments of skill, more moments of poor passing Clemence 7 - looked much better later on, nice run into the box, busy and committed Wesolowski 6 - looked a little tired, but gave a hundred % Sheehan 8 - our best player, everything good came thru him, last 20 he ruled the pitch Fryatt 7 - strong and lively unlucky not to score Hume 6 - improved in final 20, but patchy before SUBS: Hayes 6 - looked really up for it King 6 - involved & effective Chambers 6.5 - good runs, classy touches, can't believe he's so young
DanTheFox07 Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 well well ian hollowwords as really sold you lot the south west line good luck Mate Ian Holloway has come to leicester because we are a big club and plymouth aren`t! we had over 27,000 fans out our ground tonight and ur annoyed at Holloway because he wants to sample that and have the finicial backaging ur club couldnt give him! wake up mate.
foxer Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I thought Ashley Chambers was really good. Changed the game completely in my opinion. Very intelligent play lead to an exciting last fifteen minutes.
DanTheFox07 Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Very true.Ref was awful all round I was looking on bbc match report and he didnt book a single cardiff player and bout 4 of our players what a joke.
Finnegan Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Going to take my hat off to Thracian's Army here, tbh. I thought Sheehan, King, Chambo and Hayes were amongst the more exciting elements of the evening to be really honest. I won't sit and do full ratings but I will say that: . Hume looked lost up front, far better on the right. . If we're going to play a crossing game, we need a striker that can win the ball in the air. . Clem and Weso are too much the same, for me, I like them both but we need one or t'other with a more creative man alongside them. If that's King, then so be it - we looked far sharper in the second half with him helping to link up play. . shaun newton . I <3 Marton Fulop.
Lillehamring Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I was looking on bbc match raport and he didnt book a single cardiff player and bout 4 of our players what a joke. worst was giving them a free kick for kicking our player in tha head
Koke Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 worst was giving them a free kick for kicking our player in tha head Yeah that was Wesolowski who was on the receiving end and he gave the free kick to the Cardiff lad.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Before you judge me on my ratings please bear in mind that tonight was the first time I have been to the Walkers this season and therefore don't have any previous performances to compare my ratings to. Fulop- 8 - Didn't do anything wrong and coped well with some really awkward backpasses. Encouraged the players forward in the dying minutes. Mattock - 7 - Continuing to grow and match experience can only be a good thing. Some harsh tackles but better positioning than Stearman on the right. Kisnorbo - 7 - Won lots of aerial challenges, and held tightly to his marker. McAuley - See Kisnorbo Stearman - 6 - Positioning at times was awful, but was always trying to advance and give us some form of penetration. Sheehan - 7 - Looked assured and his crosses (bar a few) were exeptional. He was always finding space and was his passing was crisp. Clemence - 5/6 - I really didn't think that Clemence was impressive at all tonight, apart from towards the end of the match. Some of his passing was poor and he looked as if he was running low on ideas. Wesolowski - 8 - Great tenacity and roughness in midfield, never pulled away from a tackle and tried to push forward. Newton - 6 - Sometimes showed glimpses of fantastic wingplay but there simply wasn't enough of it. Fryatt - 6/7 - Looked sharp in the first half but seemed a little off pace at times and uninterested in chasing down the ball. Hume - 7 - Challenged well and broke forward at pace, tried his hardest in the air and on ground and succeeded the majority of the time. SUBS: Hayes - 7 - Impressive, gave Sheehan more options as he'd moved to left back and appeared to be dynamic and entertaining. Chambers - 7 - For a small lad, he won alot of aerial ball and looked pacy. Good work. King - 7 - Assured passing and good positioning, capped an incredible turnout for ex-academy boys.
sdb Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 i thought the ref was ok, a few decisions that have been mentioned that were bizzare, but nothing major. the booking were all fair i thought
Mort Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop 7 - Assured presence as always, not outstanding but was there when needed. Stearman 6 - improved as the game went on. Mcauley 6 - solid. Kisnorbo 6 - solid. Mattock 6 - out of the game for long spells, uninspiring rather than poor. Newton 5 - poor, very slow and sloppy at times. Clemence 6 - some sloppy passes through the first half but recovered as the game went on. Wesolowski 6 - worked hard and sought to push up field. Sheehan 7 - good delivery, growing into the role on the left, all round a very solid performance. Fryatt 5 - poor, lost count of the number of times he was muscled tapped off the ball and wasted opportunities. Hume 6 - pro-active as usual but that wasn't sufficient. SUBS: Hayes 5 - poor control, although his pace was a welcome change on the left. King 6 - made a positive impact allowing the game to push up the field all the same. Chambers 7 - very proactive and looked very assured up front during the frantic last ten minutes or so, good display! I wish i could show you my impression of him running for the ball. The way he gets knocked of the ball is laughable. I don't have any vendetta against him at all, he's probably a decent lad but his footballing abilities are a bit of a joke at this level mate. He'll be phased out as soon as DJ is fit. Agree 100%... have never subscribed to the 'Fryatt Fan Club" that seems to convene every home game at the back of the kop and today did nothing to change that, the lad is simply lightweight and has always struck me as such his position as "fan's favorite" simply baffles me!
Mikey Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop - 7- Did what he had to. Stearman - 7 - OK going forward, OK in defence. Kisnorbo - 7 - Solid Mcauley - 7 - Solid Mattock - 7 - Decent enough Sheehan - 8 - Did well to find space and crosses were superb. Weso - 7 - Worked hard, tackled hard a few stray passes though. Clem - 6 - Wasn't poor but not his best. Calming influence though some passes were wayward. Newton - 5 - Some good runs, mostly poor. Hume - 7 - Tried and tried and tried. Looked better on the right when Chambers came on. Fryatt - 6.5 - Good touch but got tired, also got bundled off the ball quite easily but not surprisingly tbh. Subs: Hayes - 6 - Gave the ball away a few times but other times good play and good crosses. Chambers - 7.5 - Looked lively, pacey and caused their defence some problems. Good work. King - 7 - Did well. All in all we played OK and attacked quite a bit.
Simi Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop - 7 Stearman - 6 McAuley - 7 Kisnorbo - 6 Sheehan - 7 Newton - 5 Wesolowski - 6 Clemence - 6 Mattock - 6 Hume - 6 Fryatt - 5 Subs: Hayes - 6 Chambers - 7 King - 6
Samilktray Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop - 7 - His usual reliable self. Stearman - 6 - Really cant understand the fuss around him, hes just not good. McAuley - 6 - At times looked ok, nothing more. Kisnorbo - 7 - Did well in the air and looked comfortable. Sheehan - 7 - Delivery was quality at times. Newton - 5 - Positionally awful, awful in general really. Wesolowski - 6 - Did well, nothing too fancy. Clemence - 6 - Same as Wesolowski Mattock - 6 - Did ok. Hume - 6 - Wasnt too brilliant tonight could of done better Fryatt - 5 - Lazy, uninterested, woeful. Subs: Hayes - 6 - Did ok. Chambers - 7 - Showed intelligence and the urgency to create things King - 6 - Did ok.

Thumbs up to them.
Dames Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop 7 - Not really troubled, Comfortable when called on Stearman 7 - Left a little wanting in defence but was always willing to push forward. Mcauley 7 - Throws Himself at for anything Kisnorbo 7 - Solid Mattock 6 - Average, One decent shot. Newton 2 - Useless, Hope he breaks his legs. Clemence 6 - Average, Some good play and some bad play. Wesolowski 6 - Worked Hard Sheehan 8 - Great delievery, Caught out in defence a few times, If only he was abit more aware and had a bit of pace. Fryatt 7 - Starting to look good but tired as the game wore on and lost abit of concentration which could have got him a goal. Hume 6 - Lots of effort but lack of end product. SUBS: Hayes 6 - Can cross a good ball and shown abit of pace King 6 - Always looking to play it on the deck to our strikers. Chambers 7 - Looks intelligent and very pacey can't wait for him to get a good run.
Ricey Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop 7 Stearman 6 Mcauley 7 Kisnorbo 7 Mattock 8 Newton 5 Clemence 7 Wesolowski 7 Sheehan 8 Fryatt 7 Hume 7 SUBS: Hayes 7 King 7 Chambers 7
Cobbo Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 I was in front of the front row, I find it hard to judge from that low down but I'll do me best! Fulop - 7 - Such a claming influence with crosses, dominates. Didn't really have a hard save to make all night but did nothing wrong bar a couple of kicks. Stearman - 7 - Not his biggest fan but he was solid tonight, good positioning and dominated in the air. Got forward well and denied a goal by what was a very good save. Kisnorbo - 7 - Solid as ever, good headers under pressure. McAuley - 7 - Sam as above. Mattock - 7 - Did nothing wrong all game and linked up well with Sheehan again, harshly booked after Hume was felled and the guy who did it did not even get a talking to from the ref. Maybe brought off to rest his legs and also because he had been booked. Newton - 6 - Some decent runs, but never really used the ball as well as he could have. Also should have bagged that header! Wesolowski - 8 - Love this lad, every game he is harassing everyobne, he's everywhere and he has great technique too. If he stays fit he is going to be one hell of a player. Clemence - 7 - Kept things ticking over generally but caught in possession a few too many times but good on the whole. Sheehan - 8 - Great set piece delivery and also good crosses from open play. Never beaten easily and at one point dispossessed Jimmy Flloyd with ease. Him and Mattock seem to be building a great understanding. Hume - 7.5 - Some lovely touches and inter play. Never gave the defenders an easy moment with the ball in the air or on the ground and was so unlucky not to score. Fryatt - 7 - Get the ball into his feet and he causes problems for people twisting a turning. Good finisher which unfortunately could not be seen today but also has an eye for a pass and plays nice threw balls. Subs; Hayes - 6 - Very energetic, really wanted to make a statement and that can't be ignored. Led to him losing his position a fair bit but with Sheehan out there we still had some width. Chambers - 7 - Wanted the ball a lot and played some good stuff around the edge of the box. Couldn't quite get that chance to bag a goal. King - 6 - seemed to play quite deep - kept the ball well and won a few in the air.
davieG Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Fulop 6 Stearman 6 Mcauley 6 Kisnorbo 6 Mattock 5 Newton 3 Clemence 5 Wesolowski 5 Sheehan 7 Fryatt 6 Hume 6 SUBS: Hayes 6 King 7 Chambers 7
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 November 2007 Posted 26 November 2007 Not sure about Sheehan, still too slow and lazy for me to get 8s for a handful of corners but Jonathan Hayes put in the best cross I've seen in about four years from a Leicester player at the Walkers tonight.
