David O'Leary Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 What a crap draw, I might go though, revenge will be sweet. Another away day together?
filbertway Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 I'd be shocked if we took less than 2,000. We'll see. Really? I'm with Ched, we'll struggle to take more than 1000 to such a poor game.
davieG Posted 2 December 2007 Author Posted 2 December 2007 Remember losing to them a couple of years ago in the round after we had beaten Spurs 3-2.. why can we always perform well against the big name clubs but shit against the average ones? Because we're minnows now in everything but the facilities.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Really? I'm with Ched, we'll struggle to take more than 1000 to such a poor game. Away games in the Cup, they all come out the woodwork for them. I think we'll get far more fans going to it because it's in the Cup than if it was a League game. Like I said though, we'll see.

Southampton is a long way away as well.
Matt Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Remember losing to them a couple of years ago in the round after we had beaten Spurs 3-2.. why can we always perform well against the big name clubs but shit against the average ones? Different Mentality. We play bigger opposition such as the Premiership teams the players mentality is; "Oh, there better than us, we really need to raise our game to have a chance of beating these". We play a smaller or league game and the players just see them as a rollover; "Ah we should beat these hands down, don't even need to try". You'd have thought they'd have learnt by now...Well they do say footballers have no brains, Certainly shows with the Leicester players.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Let's not forget the teams we've played away in the cup! Southampton is a long way away as well. I'm not saying we'll take 5 or 6,000 but I'd be really shocked if it was less than 1,000. People might fancy a New Years jaunt to the South Coast on Fox Travel.
Tommeh Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Really like this draw tbh. Reminds me alot of Reading in 05' 3,500 went that day and we won 2-1. I think there will be a stong 2,000+ going and lets make a real go of it. We're a cup side!!
Messi Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 I Really Did Think We Were Goin To Get Derby For A Minute There But Now Its Time For Revenge I Will Be Going Down There :fox:
DB11 Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Milan will probably give them a massive bonus if they win cos he used to own Portsmouth
Matt Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Milan will probably give them a massive bonus if they win cos he used to own Portsmouth Yeah because he really shoved a rocket up there arse's before yesterday's match didn't he?!
Simi Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 3 and a half hours on train + 30 minute walk to the ground. Super.
Maybes Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Very disappointing draw. Id be suprised if we took a large amount of fans down there. Remember last season in the pouring rain. Well I do and the rest of the 800 strong blue army
Jack Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 Like Kenton? He'll Score the winner against his old club.
sdb Posted 2 December 2007 Posted 2 December 2007 the worst sort of draw - tough team in the same league. not very exciting. bummer. think i'll go though
