Holloway To Move For Norris?

Recommended Posts

Despite his denial, he's got to be a Plymouth fan.

I promise you I am not and will not tire of saying so.

I think I'm the only one with my head screwed on aorund here you know. This is Leicester City, we are a big club, we don't have time for clueless, westcountry imbiciles. It's a nice place for your holidays, not for football. Please don't get me wrong.

I WANT OLLIE TO SUCEED.

But it's not going to happen. I think you all know it deep down, we'll never acheive anything with this man. If we so much as have a snif of the play-offs with Holloway (Worzel Gollum) in charge I'll get a Forest tatoo on my bollocks (not really, but still you know).

Warnock is proven, a real football bloke. He's doen well nearly everywhere he's been and I think he wants one last stab at the Premiership before he retires. He's more likley to get the backing here than at Palace.

PLEASE MR CHAIRMAN, SEE SENSE

bid rejected for norris and hayles (:S). just said on SSN, not seen it mentioned although it probably has been

Yeah i've got SSN on but on a low volume though I heard that, was just about to post something on it.

Think I heard it described as "A substantial bid turned down"

Barry Hayles??????????

I'd rather give Elvis Hammond another chance than spend money on a 35 year old Barry Hayles, seriously.

Thats a ridiculous thing to say. Hayles scored 13 goals last season, which if I am correct, is the same amount as our top scorer.

2 goals this season and coming to the end of his career, at least at this level.

Sorry you feel that way mate but last time I checked, I was entitled to my opinion. I don't think I'm the only one who feels this way about Holloway but the difference is I express my opinion. Let's have none of this give him a chance because why would we want to. Here's a challenge for all of you who think Ollie is the next MON. Next time he is interveiwed...

Look into his eyes.

Who can honestly see any desire to win in those eyes, he dies such a good job of masking it with his comedian impressions that nearly everyone falls for it.

But at the end of the day, even if you don't agree with me, it is my rightful opinion and football is a game of opinions.

Well Ipswich have entered the stiff competetion to sign David Norris according to This lot.

IPSWICH Town manager Jim Magilton faces opposition in his bid to bring target David Norris to Portman Road in the January transfer window.

The Blues boss has confirmed his is keen on the 26-year-old Plymouth player, and made an enquiry about him during the close season.

But now Leicester City are showing a big interest in Norris, and this week had a bid turned down by the west country club.

Magilton got no further than a preliminary discussion with then Argyle manager Ian Holloway during the summer, and Holloway has since moved to Leicester - where he is keen to have Norris follow him.

Magilton will have money to spend after the takeover of the club by entrepreneur Marcus Evans is ratified at a shareholders emergency general meeting at the Ipswich Corn Exchange on Monday.

And Norris is a player he has set his sights on - to add some forward bite from midfield.

Leicester chairman Milan Mandaric is backing Holloway in his bid to strengthen the squad at the Walkers Stadium, and as well as Norris a bid was also placed for another Plymouth player - striker Barry Hayles.

Magilton is set to put in a sizeable bid - believed to be over £1million - for Norris once the takeover is complete hoping that a move can be made during the January transfer window.

Oh dear, not another lost game. We beat them 3 nil! If Hollowords is coming for David Norris, he will wish he had kept his big mouth shut in the summer. Southampton made a bid of £1 million for him & Hollowords said he was worth at least £5 million! I think the policy of Plymouth for any of our players he tries to sign will be, "Anyone but Leicester!" Hollowords is not as popular with Plymouth players as he thinks he is after his rapid departure from Homepark. There are another 22 clubs in the Championship & some of them have pockets just as deep as Mandaric's.

He is in the middle of renewing and extending his contract at plymouth, that is not the actions of a man about to move clubs.

It will make a change that a player is doing it for the enjoyment of the game and not just chasing money.

Pafc talk flannel not P@SOTI.

I think Norris could be a good addition but Hayles is past it I can't see what Holloway is thinking in wanting to bring him here.

And we beat Bristol City 2-0 at their place, whilst you drew 1-1 at home.

Means bollocks.

Ansd have the trialists been announced yet? I've seen a few people mentioned in the LCFC forum but nothing on the OS?? :dunno:

1.5 million he best be good

He is ninety minute player, full of running, does not score a lot of goals, must be good as Southampton offered 800k last August and Ipswich 1.2 million recently when Ollie said he was worth 5 million, those words are going to haunt him now.

The Mirror have been correct on a load of stories this season like Megson being appointed and Allen being sacked. etc

What a signing he would be. superb
