Me neither. :glare:

Why can't blokes appreciate the joys of meatless food? Is there some kind of interference with their masculinity if food is meat-free?

At the risk of reducing my manliness to absolute zero (it's already well into the negative) your proposal sounds tasty.

I personally think it would be nice to have something available that doesn't give you the sh1ts OR something that you don't have to pay a fortune for when it's worse than Lidl quality!!

without wishing to sound a bit last year Cheese and Ham Toasties would be legendary imo!!

As would the thought of soft cheese. Dunno about the hammock though.

Last year, perhaps, but an all time legend.

A friend of mine writes for the plymouth pie of the year blog:

http://www.pieoftheyear.blogspot.com/

They have a league table of pies, last year we finished 19th, obviously down to our natural anti-ginsters stance.

This year I think we might getting a lower score considering they are still mardy about Holloway.

Saturday 15 December

Watford 0 - 1 Plymouth Argyle

Steak

Curiously it's called an "All Steak Pie" at Vicarage Road - what are their other steak pies made of then? - but even so I am still suffering the affects of the Hornet's offering.

Pastry - tough, burnt, hard and overcooked. Sums up the whole pie really, and I'm sorry if I'm peaking too early in my final analysis but this was one God-awful pie. Even though it held together adequately for the whole consumption, in spite of lid separation, that was as good as it got. It's hard to describe anymore how poor it was. Rating 3.21 (for staying intact at least)

Filling. Probably the best bit about the whole pie, there was plenty of it, with some pretty big chunks of tender steak in evidence. However the molten lava spilled forth as it assaulted your taste bud and left them for dead. This might be followed by calls of "not again!" if you didn't hadn't kept the tin tray, which I thankfully did. Rating 3.44

Health and Safety. A case for Her Majesty's inspectors here - a risk assessment had clearly not been conducted and I should really have reported to first aid:

Activity: Holding. Risk: Not being able to hold it. Who might be harmed: The poor punter who spend nearly £3 Risk Rating (out of 5): 5. How to reduce the risk: Some PPE, such as a serviette might help, but then if you will insist it being cooked to the same temperature as the sun, what do you care?

Activity: Eating. Risk: Burning your mouth, killing your taste buds and having a sore patch for several days. Who might be harmed: Me Risk Rating (out of 5): 5. How to reduce the risk: Don't heat it up in a furnace! Offer free drinks??

Activity: Spillage. Risk: Spoiling your treasured Argyle shirt. Who might be harmed: whoever has to wash the thing (again). Rating (out of 5): 3. How to reduce the risk: Get in some decent pies.

Rating: 1.33

Total: 2.66

So apart from Charlton and Blackpool - the non pie-serving clubs - Watford take the bottom place.

:crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh::crylaugh:

At least we didn't get relegated last season :santa:

Now THIS is a proper thread.

I reckon Cornish Pasties would go down well. They could be called something original like "The Holloway".

Yes, I like that actually, I feel a campaign coming on...

Agreed the pasties at home park are gorgeous :wub:

Personally i think we should start doin the Steak and ale Pies that they did at Villa which were gorgeous in place of the Chicken Balti Pies which are poor.

Discuss...........................

Chicken Balti pies for me all the way

The chicken balti pie's at villa were very nice - the filling was more creamy than the ones we get at the walkers. one may suggest that the villa pie was a curry pie and not a balti - balti's by nature being less creamy in consistency. may i make the suggestion that we keep the chicken balti pie but replace it with the filling available at villa.....

But they dont give u forks at villa lol The C***S gave me tea-stirrers to eat it with  But yes it was very nice :P

The pies at Villa are lush, i got there every year for a school trip, and bloody hell i only go for the Pie's. The team always plays shite when we go but i won all my bets last year when we went, which was great i caome home with more then i went with. and considering i bought my GF's Valentines present that day, and a new porn mag asnd still came home with a positive Money outcome i was chufffed. Great day out i ove it. But i always wait until we get to Villa Park before buying any food because its great from there. Plymouth pasties are nice too, but uinfortunatly my trip to Plymouth has been cancele3d this eyar thanx to ollie :@ im no longer excepted round these parts haha. I live in Devon btw.
