Letter from Ollie to Plymouth fan

Recommended Posts

Obviously Ollie wanted the letter to be published - he is not as stupid as Plymouth fans are trying to make out. But I do wish he had been concentrating on the job at hand here .....like trying to make Stearman look normal

Get used to it. His media interests are very important to him. Hear you will make an enquiry for Steve Howard.... Holloway will rack em and stack em when it comes to strikers. We got rid of 2 today. Samba and Reid - both would look good in Blue.

What a bunch of arseholes, and fairplay to Ollie.

He didn't have to stump up the cash, and we all know most managers wouldn't.

This arsehole chose to buy the book in the first place. It pisses me off they STILL haven't got over it. It's football FFS, it happens and we get over it. There is no loyalty anymore.

Get over it Plymouth fans and ****ing lforget about it. He's moved on and so should you.

How sad are some people, for starters why would you even bother sending off for £17.. And complaining about what Holloway 'did.' I mean we could all write to MM requesting are money back for tickets when theres a bad performance.. Its madness.

Some and NOT all... Plymouth fans are getting right up my nose just lately, and i do not like it one little bit!

Ok so they are doing a lot better than us in the league... You would have thought they would be enjoying there top half of the table holiday! But all they want to do is moan and throw toys out of the pram about holloway... He has gone, get over that first of all.... concentrate on your own season.... anybody would have thought it was called Holloway Argyle and that we have just nicked your club from you... Come off it we aint no MK Dons stealing Wimbledon for christ sake.

We just got a man who wants to further himself, ok a bad start but im not judging him just yet and Plymouth fans should be thankfull for what he acheived a such a small club with a right plank for a chairman....

All he wants is to get on with his job and try and further himself..... And us we hope! Can you really blame him, just look at the club you need to point the finger at your chairman.

Anyway... I bear no grudges... I wish Plymouth all the best....

Come on Ollie.... Come on Lestah!!!

i would rather have there chairman than mm tho

wouldnt it be funny tho if all this bitterness stops them geting into the play offs,i mean it must be pissing sturock and the plymouth players off just as much as us

why would IH send "£17 CASH " in the post ?

it seems an odd amount to send through the post ; surely it would be obvious to anyone else that there was cash in the envelope and IH would have probably rounded it up to £20 anyway to cover the lad's postage ;

i just cannot imagine him counting out the exact amount and popping it into an envelope :dunno:

Because the letter is a fake? Not saying it definitely is, but I'm suspicious. A cheque could ultimately be traced and the proof 100% be produced, proving the letter a fake - though, given, that could be why Ollie sent it as cash, since apparently he did not want anyone to know. My other suspicion is the signature - how many people sign their name in full and legibly? It's as if the letter is saying "LOOK! LOOK! IT IS HOLLOWAY, THERE'S HIS NAME, LOOK!!"

Neither of these points are conclusive and I admit to being naturally cynical about everything - but worth an objective look.

Holloway's in a lose-lose situation here. If he didn't reply, the Plymouth supporter would've gone on their forum and typed 'I wrote a letter to Hollowords asking for a refund and he didn't even reply, scum'.

If Holloway had replied with the the refund and just a short note saying 'Enclosed is a refund for your purchase' they would've gone on their forum and typed 'I wrote a letter to Hollowords asking for a refund for his book and he sent it but there wasn't even an apology and it didn't even sound like he'd bothered to write his own reply, scum'.

Now Holloway's took the time out to send a reply which was obviously in his own words and not his PA's, enclosed the refund and wished Plymouth Argyle well for the future and still he gets abused. What more can he do? Ok, so he might have been hoping for his words to be published when he said 'keep this secret' but Plymouth fans have just risen to his bait, gone ahead and published his thoughts. Now if what he says comes true no-one can say he didn't give you warning. Some Plymouth fans might realise why he had to leave them to better himself if what he says does happen.

Agree 100%, was a Catch 22 situation - what could he have done without getting egg on his face? Though perhaps just a "sorry, no hard feelings mate, here's your money" might have been better words to use. Of course, that's assuming it's genuine

As I said before... why doesn't the oh so innocent author of the original letter to Holloway post that one so we can look at it. I'm sure the abuse in his letter outstrips anything Holloway has written by a long shot.

But that won't happen, because all their fans and board members (ex and present) want Holloway to look as bad as possible. Like the sniveling prat who sent Holloway a text and then got all shirty because Holloway called him to give him a piece of his mind.

They can't handle us looking a better prospect than them, even when we are near he bottom of the league. Because of that, they all think he has definitely left for the money, he's a liar because he said he loved plymouth etc etc. When it's quite plausible he did love Plymouth, felt let down by their board and left for what is still considered a pretty good job by many.

Plymouth fans are seriously getting on my nuts. They spend more time talking about Leicester City and Ollie than their own team.

Get the **** out of here and go back to your own board. Ollie is a Leicester manager, get over it you bunch of deluded c*nts. We.do.not.care.about.you and we we never will.

I have my doubts if the letter is real but it wouldn't suprise me with Holloway. One thing I would say is that it is weird Ollie is criticising the board and saying even if they sell 1 player he will be proved right. When he was with us he made a point about that he would buy players improve them and sell them on for a profit to gradually improve the team. I don't see how he could criticise our board for following his methods?

Depends... if you sell someone for 2m and invest 500k than he is right. If you sell someone for 2m and reinvest 2m, than you are just following the plans he himself said you'd follow.

Well if the letter isn't real, then his signature has been forged by that twat who published it on the net or whoever. Even if there is no money involved in this, its still bloody illegal.

We'll see I suppose I don't think any of our key players will leave in january especially to a championship club. If it was a premiership offer it would be hard to stop the player leaving and I think that goes for all CCC clubs, it wouldn't make us particulary unambitious.

Fairlplay to Ollie, this proves he is a genuinely nice chap. He never lied, once, and some Plymouth fans are deluded themselves.

Posted
He shouldn't of replied. that way he would of saved himself £17 and a whole lot of abuse for doing nothing but giving someone a refund and explaining himself, again.

I am a Plymouth fan born and bred and even I think that its getting a bit to much.

I understand our fans feeling the way they do, but enoughs enough, I think maybe Ollie hopes that sending this letter will heal the rift between us and him but once again it all seems a bit contrived.

Fair play to him for trying though I think he is either trying to use the press or is very naive, I would think he has permission to send the letter or he would not have been allowed to use headed paper.

I think we are developing a unhealthy obsession and should put more effort into cheering on our boys than jeering your manager.

There you go all of us Plymouth fans arent that bad.
