gosfox Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 If the Plymouth fans think that Ollie had "lost the plot" and they are "glad to see the back of him"......why are they so uptight about him leaving?
Babylon Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 I am a Plymouth fan born and bred and even I think that its getting a bit to much.I understand our fans feeling the way they do, but enoughs enough, I think maybe Ollie hopes that sending this letter will heal the rift between us and him but once again it all seems a bit contrived. Fair play to him for trying though I think he is either trying to use the press or is very naive, I would think he has permission to send the letter or he would not have been allowed to use headed paper. I think we are developing a unhealthy obsession and should put more effort into cheering on our boys than jeering your manager. There you go all of us Plymouth fans arent that bad. You can stay.
richy2704 Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 You can stay. Why thank you very much. I would be a bit worried that now Ollie has given one refund that he may use up your entire transfer budget on repaying the Plymouth fans, surprisingly us Plymouth fans can read, not sure about the cornish lot though.

No offence to Plymouth but despite having a huge catchment area it will never really be a big football club. Its like us at Leicester, we are realistic enough to know that our best players will be snapped up at Premiership level and the same with the manager. Its the way things go. Ollie has come to a bigger club, one with money and one that will put more money in his personal pocket. We are high profile and Ollie seems to have a big ego (if his appearances on Soccer AM is anything to go by!) so he may well be suited to coming to a club which have the most media links from clubs outside teh Premiership in this country. As for "that" letter, Im not sure what to make of it as I cant be bothered. As far as I am concerned there is nothing wrong with people being ambitious and fans who get bitter when a player goes to bigger and better things should chill out a tad and understand that this is indeed modern day football.
STUHILL Posted 20 December 2007 Posted 20 December 2007 I wish this topic would just die now, it's incredibly boring! This is my first and will definately be my last post on the subject. Plymouth posters please get on with your new manager and worry about your own Club. Last I looked you were doing pretty well so enjoy it and post on your own forums! As for Ollie well he has got to get over it too, obviously a lot of harsh feelings left but he hasn't got time to dwell, hes got a massive job here and it's going to take time and lots of effort. So good luck to him and us and good luck to Sturrock and Plymouth. End of! Move on! Thank you and good night!
Suffolk_fox Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 I have posted a few times today and last night on their topic on Pasoti - I think most of them are getting weary of it now, and are seeing that it isn't giving people a very good impression of PAFC fans. But one thing I have thought about (apologies if any other 'Columbo' types on here have already mentioned this) - why would a private letter have a Reference Number at the top? I wasn't always in sales....
mancunianfox Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Someone send Holloway a letter along with their Hull ticket. It doesn't even needed to be complicated. You never know, you might get lucky. Dear Mr HollowayInclosed is my ticket from the Hull vs Leicester match played on 15/12/07. Please send a cheque for £23.00 to... Sincerely I'm sure he'll get the message.

I wasn't always in sales.... My last comments on the subject :- 1 - "I think most of them are getting weary of it now" - most of us were pleased that we'd effectively swapped Ollie for Luggy and were happily 'moving on', using that horrible hackneyed phrase, until the revelation that Ollie's mouth/hand clearly hadn't! 2 - "and are seeing that it isn't giving people a very good impression of PAFC fans" - that, I'm afraid, is a mistaken impression as a generalisation. 3 - I have a good friend who is a dyed-in-the-wool City supporter and we've had much good-natured banter over the whole episode. I have always liked Leicester (I don't know - perhaps because of Shilton - long before he joined us) and have no animosity whatsoever to the fans, even your keyboard warriors like Babylon , and I suppose the reason why I felt the need to post here was to give you the benefit of our 'wisdom' with regard to Ollie's character. 4 - The fact that some (if not all?) of the new Plymouth accounts have been deleted means that your moderators are even more pc than ours! 5 - I hope for your collective sakes that Ollie channels his passion towards success on the pitch. Yours erstwhile "Oggie"

Hmm just had another look at the "letter", is it just me or does the new phone number adverts at the bottom look like it has sellotape over it? I think this is all Bollox, very good and could be funny, but bollox!! Were we this bitter when Little/McGhee left????? EDIT Defo a fake, look at the signature there is a crease going thru it and it stops. there is a crease in the adverts at the bottom, not in the paper next to them.

Yours erstwhile "Oggie" Wisdom? Sorry but you know fook all. And Plymouth accounts have surely been deleted because its. a. leicester. city. forum. We couldn't give Tera Patrick's backside what Plymouth fans have to say.

Your forum is, generally, the better for having some convivial banter - I agree that equivalent toss-pots to yourself are no good to man nor beast but sometimes there are reasonable articulate guys like myself

And sorry mate but I'm not a tosspot. I'm just absent-mindedly pissed off with the Plymouth influx who are over-using their moment in the sun. The little debate has got little Plymouth noticed, and good for you. This whole thing is just schlong. Enjoy watching the procession of your best players out of Home Park. It's guarenteed. Ebanks-Blake, Norris, Gosling etc out. Blair Sturrock in. Good luck with that btw.

Of course you don't know what it means - I was just giving you enough rope to hang yourself If you aren't a toss-pot then why act like one - don't tar all Argyle fans/posters with the same brush. If you really think I was posting to get Argyle 'noticed' (see those quotation marks again!) then you're deluded and full of the self-importance that some living-in-the-past Leicester fans have of themselves. Here's looking down on you PS You could try "He who laughs last...." as a response

Here's looking down on you PS You could try "He who laughs last...." as a response I became a supporter of Leicester in 2000, the start of the descent to where we are now, in the league with the shit teams. So I wasn't here in the Walshie days and the League Cup victories, which incidently is something Plymouth have never aspired to... Leicester are a better club/team/city than Plymouth is every possible way apart from League position. Good thing, as well. The world's not ready for the influx of Plymouth fans every time they see themselves in the paper. Tut tut. Prepare to get raped in feb, i'll be there next to the away fans, singing: Thankyou very much for Holloway Thankyou very much, thankyou very very very much. Btw. Argyle? Argyle - A pattern designed with different color diamond shapes knit into a fabric. So basically your team name means Plymouth soft-fabric knitting puffs. Shame. P.S. He who laughs last will be wearing blue, singing his heart out and laughing at you.
Asha Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Leicester Leicester Leicester I'm off now. Hope to continue this debate on a separate day.
Babylon Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 even your keyboard warriors like Babylon Wow i'm honoured.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Sweet Baby Jesus and the orphans is there still an influx of Plymouth fans coming here? There's only so many times I can read the same thing from a different username. It's been happening for six weeks and I grow weary.
The People's Hero Posted 21 December 2007 Posted 21 December 2007 Plymouth have a football team? I assume it's a family run affair and all the supporters are cousins?

You'd think after 6 weeks they might have calmed down enough to realise.... a) he might not be the anti christ b) he could well have loved plymouth c) it might not be all about the benjamins

Why dont you go on PASOTI and pretend to be Swindon fans, dont bother with PAFC talk there is no f**ker on there posting anyway,I think they are all on here under secret identities.....anyone with 'From LIEcester' that would be the give away, or just started from round about when Ollie joined you lot.
