Who are the eight?

Kaebi may be the only one we could make money on. I'd bet he's on a fair wage as well.

This cull needs to be bankrolled you know. Expect one of our "quality" players (Hume, Kisnorbo, perhaps Fryatt), if not more, to leave this winter, along with any other player that is bidded for.

I think Stearman should go as well. The only surprise is Kaebi, but why the hell isn't Elvis in that list? Please don't tell me Holloway likes him, and De Vries as well.

Maybe because he hasn't been able to see what Elvis is like as he has been injured and they also wouldn't be able to sell him because he wouldn't pass a medical at the minute but he is still transfer-listed

He is really pissing me off. What's the betting that Cort still plays today, after i just put a fiver on for a Cort hat-trick at 80-1 :unsure:

Me or Holloway??

ridiculous to release kaebi. No I'm not being a kaebi fanboy who thinks he is the best thing since sliced bread, but he has had 1.5 games!!! Hardly a chance to prove himself either way. I really think with better players around him who can actually pick out a run and pass the ball he could be a great player at this level. Likewise for hellings, he hasn't played one game, seems bazaar unless he is truly awful.

He would of had more, but he's an over rated 7 stone weakling.

True! Kaebi is the only one Im shocked about after Ollie came out and said he thought he did alright against Ipswich. He wasn't even the worst player on the pitch against Hull but obviously there's no point in keeping him if he's not gonna feature in the plans for the team. I actually feel a bit for the lad after we wasted his time and he had to up roots and try and settle in England because I bet he was promised first team football every week by Martin Allen.

I bet Martin Allen had never heard of him. Kaebi was one of Milan's transfer coups.

lol, Look at the plus side.

At least you wont have us Iranians clogging up your forums. :w00t:

It must be disappointing for you that the Kaebi signing hasn't worked out but the signing did highlight some of the problems involved. I honestly hope he does well elsewhere and fully justifies your faith in him.

Oh come on. Elvis hasn't even had a chance under Ollie to show what he can do! We all know that he's not the best, but surely, Ollie wouldn't just say "I don't want you" after having not seen him play.

Hammond's contract and his fitness are his main problems. It would seem unlikely City would invest any more time and money in him if he's suspect fitness wise but, otherwise I'd imagine Holloway would see Elvis as a plus.

Even in the reserves Hammond always gives of his best - he was injured in the first place during a friendly at Quorn when he dived in where he never should to tee up a chance for Cort.

He has genuine pace, strength, is hard to mark and scores some goals. I doubt he would be a first choice but have always thought he can be valuable off the bench and, without doubt, he's been missed this season considering the sort of alternatives who have been picked.

Despite his age he's still young experience wise. Unlike some of our seniors, Hammond seemed to fit in well with the Academy players in reserve matches and I still wouldn't say the likes of Chambers and Odhiambo would be better first team material than a fit Elvis at this stage.

That's just NOT TRUE!! Many times I've seen him for the First team and seconds after coming on he is showing no movement or desire! So if you say that's giving his best then we should get rid now, injured or not! He simply isn't good enough!!!!!

Oh of course its disappointing , however I personally expected this.

I have always wanted him to play in France or Italy where the style of football fits him better.

You must have seen a different Elvis to the one I watched. Cos he's showed movement and energy every time I've watched and invariably netted for the reserves (even if the last one was disallowed).

It's not just you and I who differ over Elvis. I'm well aware that I'm in a minority of around one in rating the guy but he's not the first player I've gone out on a limb over.

My views on Kaebi, Ferreira, Djiziri, Nielsen, Sheehan, King or even Porter were hardly universally held but I've no reason to regret them. It's not always as simple as being right or wrong anyway. Sometimes its more a case of what qualities you want in your side.

And, game on game (when fit) I think Hammond is far harder to mark than Fryatt, Cort, and DeVries for instance.

Because he's always a mile offside??

Why don't you get a video of the Barnsley away game last season and count how many times Fryatt managed to get offside.

Part of the reason Hammond seems to get a lot of offsides is because officials get it wrong.

I'm not saying the problem cannot or shouldn't be worked on but you really do seem to be blinded by your bias.

I've still to understand the apparent hatred fans have for Hammond. It stood out last season when Hammond had an angled shot from 12 yards well saved and was hammered mercilessly.

When Fryatt (who scored fewer goals than Hammond last season from more games) missed an even easier chance a couple of games later, it was hardly mentioned.

Hey woh there, I am not one of those who thinks Fryatt is god, I think he has a lot to prove and must do it sooner rather than later as he is by no means safe from the chop come summer! However, whereas Fryatt as shown small glympes of hope, I have seen enough of Hammond since we bought him to suggest other than pace, which yes I do agree is useful, he has no other attributes which are good enough to be in the Championship! Pace is just not enough!!!

Sappleton might be let go :dunno::dunno::unsure::o

It was reported 2 weeks ago that Alex Ferguson wanted to sign Sappelton for £500k (NOTW) a paper full of sht but the one thing it usually (90%) of the time gets right are it's football gossip!!!
