Daggers Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Does getting behind the team involve leaving five minutes before the final whistle, by any chance? We could see you sneaking out, eh?
Sparky Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Other Trusts tend to be more noticable in the lower leagues, where they are a valuable asset to their club, so my anwer would be "quite popular". So in this case is "our" trust doing more harm than good by patronising our fans and now that the club is owned by Mandaric where do the benefit lie in having a trust ? In a thread a few weeks ago i had a moan about people booing but it was my personal opinion and few people argued with me that they pay thier money and can do what they liked , now that was MY personal opinion but i accepted and respected what other people had to say on the issue as who am i to tell them what they should and shouldnt be doing ? But the trust have come out and told people how to behave , i suggest this is just the opinion of 1 or 2 individiuals as im sure their members wasnt contacted , who do these individuals think they are telling 23000 people how to behave ?

The Trust Board took the decision that we should attempt to try to discourage fans from picking on players before they even kicked a ball in the match (rather than doing nothing - the easier option), which was the main thrust of the article. Most fans did seem to back this view, but we felt that we had to clearly spell out to those that didn't seem to understand, the negative impact they would be having on the team they are supposed to support. We felt with Cort & Newton discarded by Ollie that a new "target" would be selected. We were not saying as paying customers that we shouldn't show our disatisifaction, but base it on the performance on the day. So not on the one hand slag off pre-selected players & then encourage favourites for doing the same thing (eg blast the ball high & wide).
Foxes_Trust Posted 1 January 2008 Author Posted 1 January 2008 You may not think that £300 plus is insignificant, but as was pointed out to me by one person, if you go to a restaurant on the understanding that the food and service is going to be of a particular service, only to find it doesn't meet up to the expectations that were sold to you, would you happily sit there, thank the staff and pay them a hefty tip? Or would you be calling the manager over to let him know of your disatisfaction? As far as some City fans are concerned, they are doing the latter. The problem we are trying to tackle is fans complaining about a course (player) as soon as they read it on the menu (team sheet) before the first fork has been inserted into the food (ball been kicked). That is the direct comparison of the thing we are trying to stop.

Tevez Posted 1 January 2008 Posted 1 January 2008 Beef Stock Chicken Stock Leicester City = Laughing Stock.

Who exactly do you think you are telling me how I should behave? What gives you the right to take up this position of authority?

The People's Hero Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 They're right, we should turn all the attention in terms of negativity of vitriol towards the Foxes Trust-ers in attendance.

Good to see that you lot have identified the major problem at the club and are taking drastic steps to ensure it is corrected. Prats.

On the other hand, a paying customer wouldn't go into a restaurant if he didn't like what he saw on the menu, whereas City fans have no choice as to what is served up in front of us.
Daggers Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I think we are more like a shit transport cafe than a restaurant. One of those transport cafes that always seem to be shut when you fancy a decent breakfast and yet features on the 6 o'clock news after a truck driver has murdered another prostitute.

Except we've been to this restaurant far too many times (The Walkers), the food (players) is always below average, and is never cooked properly (Corts Fitness). Hows that for a crap analogy?! Nearly as good as yours Foxes Trust.
DB11 Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Am I alone or does someone else find this post somewhat offensive? I do. Why is it fair that you have a go at the officials?
The People's Hero Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 In this sh it restuarant we keep carping on about, the Foxes Trust are the pis sed up greasy waiter who thinks he's important but everyone not so secretly thinks he's a complete cu nt.

Alexikokopops Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 What do you mean? I long ago gave up trying to understand young Danny. He is a thoughtful youth, with musings deeper than you or I could possibly fathom. One day, maybe, we will be sophisticated enough to recognise the subtleties in his posts. Until then we can but dream.
davieG Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Here's my view: I'm not renewing my membership! I disagree with your whole approach to communicating with the fans, I disagree with what you seem to think are key issues, as a football fan I have no interest in the wider community other than attracting them to the club to watch the football. You're Fans Consultative Committe has no more influence than the Fans Forum ever had which was zero. Working 'with the club from the inside' has had no influence on the quality of the team, the price of admittance, the match music, the price and quality of the refreshments, the quality of the merchandise. Perhaps you should consider a more confrontational appoach because to put it bluntly licking arses has achieved next to nothing that really matters to the average fan. On the particular subject of barracking the players when the club get get a team together that can win more than 4 games at home in a year they just might find the level of vocal support will increase. The fans have delivered year on year it's now time for the club to put up or shut up.
