Monk Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 It was funny though. Was pretty confusing with the scoreboard going on the blink later on though.
Koke Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 His name is Keith something. Was it Jason de Vos who blasted it at him? Ha.
David O'Leary Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Keith Hill. Was from point blank range though
Craig Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 It was hardly blasted! It was sort of... chipped onto his head... :crylaugh: :crylaugh: :crylaugh:
Matt Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 I think if we have a bad referee we should do it, we'd probably be found out sooner or later though, because we get a bad referees so often. It would have been rude not to laugh though.
Ultra Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Keith Hill. Was from point blank range though Looked about 15 yards away to me (and the drop ball suggested it may have been more). He probably suffered more from the shock than anything else.
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Looked about 15 yards away to me (and the drop ball suggested it may have been more). He probably suffered more from the shock than anything else. depends where it hit him on his head, if it causeddouble vision then i can understand why he had to stop
Nod.E Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 It wasn't even hit hard! I mean it dipped onto his head, not like it was on the rise!
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 It wasn't even hit hard! I mean it dipped onto his head, not like it was on the rise! fine go ask someone to smack you on the front of your head then on the back, see if theres any difference, it was hard enough to knock him of his feet, from where i was he wasn't looking so wouldn't of been expecting it meaning the impact is worse
Ultra Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 depends where it hit him on his head, if it causeddouble vision then i can understand why he had to stop But if players had to go off every time the ball hit them on the head, you'd end up with five a side!
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 how often does a player get pole axed by the ball when not expecting it like the ref tonight, most of the time they see it coming and brace themselves for it, which makes a MASSIVE difference to the impact, trust me its happened to me a number of times when i used to play in goal, the 1s you don't see about knock you out the others just sting and make your eyes watery
Nod.E Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 fine go ask someone to smack you on the front of your head then on the back, see if theres any difference, it was hard enough to knock him of his feet, from where i was he wasn't looking so wouldn't of been expecting it meaning the impact is worse Funny you should say that, cuz it has happened to me, harder, yet I was fine. I was warming up in a 5 a side goal ( i was taller than the goal ) A pitch backed onto the pitch I was playing on, the pitch backing onto us had another team warming up, shooting my way. One of their player blasted the ball very hard, on the rise and hit me like a bullet on the back of the head, yes it hurt and yes I was on the floor for a few seconds. But I was fine
Nod.E Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 Jimmy, are you ever, not serious? That's what I was thinking
Wezleylowski Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 It's only a ball? What's his name anyways? THE REFEREES A PUFFDER THE REFEREES A PUFFDER
The Reverend Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 fine go ask someone to smack you on the front of your head then on the back, see if theres any difference, it was hard enough to knock him of his feet, from where i was he wasn't looking so wouldn't of been expecting it meaning the impact is worse lol Do you remember when we played Newcastle at the Walkers? Laurent Robert twatted it at Olivier Bernard, now that was point blank range, now that was probably twice as hard as what hit the ref, and im sure he carried on?
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Jimmy, are you ever, not serious? depends on the topic and my mood at the time
Bert Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 depends on the topic and my mood at the time Lighten up chap. Tis Crimbo
Jimmy Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 Lighten up chap. Tis Crimbo nothing to lighten up about, i don't care about the ref simply explaining some differences from my own experiences
Nod.E Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 lol Do you remember when we played Newcastle at the Walkers? Laurent Robert twatted it at Olivier Bernard, now that was point blank range, now that was probably twice as hard as what hit the ref, and im sure he carried on? I had a perfect view at that. And at the time me and my dad were saying how Bernard is always getting unfortunate, funny injuries. Then that happened, I laughed... a lot
Bert Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 I had a perfect view at that. And at the time me and my dad were saying how Bernard is always getting unfortunate, funny injuries. Then that happened, I laughed... a lot My mate behind me was adamant Titus Bramble was the one that blasted the ball at him - I knew It was Laurent Robert.
The Reverend Posted 26 December 2007 Posted 26 December 2007 My mate behind me was adamant Titus Bramble was the one that blasted the ball at him - I knew It was Laurent Robert. Laurent Robert Titus Bramble Yes, I can see how he got mixed up
Nod.E Posted 26 December 2007 Author Posted 26 December 2007 My mate behind me was adamant Titus Bramble was the one that blasted the ball at him - I knew It was Laurent Robert. I think for the ball to hit him that hard, it had to be Robert! The stagger made the laughs.
