Zingari Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 I said at the start of my rant that I believed that the Walkers to Wolves thing was well meant. I don't believe for a minute that Fez or Ormond pops are bullies. I was having a pop at the people who jumped on the bandwagon and used it as an excuse to slag off Walkers.I won't say anything more on the subject as I've probably made things worse for Walkers.Sorry Walkers. i'm sure most of us knew what you meant
Jordan Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 ... b-b-b-b-but I've n-n-never been to a game, too ...
Nick Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Thank you everybody, I enjoyed reading through this thread immensely. I really wanted to contribute as their is nothing quite like a bandwagon. I thought of a number of malicious and amusing (to me) responses but this was my favourite: The below image is a picture of fez and alex camping at an away match last season testing out their new pirate wireless isolation and bullying tactical ops kit. http://images1.comstock.com/Imagewarehouse...41/B0007241.jpg Walkers, I know that you are fed up of people always going back to the fact that you have not been to a game and I also understand that you have not accused fez and alex of bullying you. I have followed Leicester all my life. I have lived for over a year in five different countries. Accessing games therefore was sometimes tough. I have used this site and others to find out how my team has played. Some years I have been a season ticket holder and travelled to numerous away fixtures. When I haven't seen the game there are things I have to expect. I have to formulate my opinions based on the opinions of others, from reports, forums and highlights all of which have been edited by others. Its kinda like I copied the homework without going through the process of sitting down, trying hard, working it out.......... I therefore fall foul to somebody saying " What do you know about whether or not Matty Fryatt was making runs off the ball with no service " because the answer is, "Very little." - though I could (as a fan) give you the stats for every goal, minutes on the pitch, and every time his farted in the penalty area this season. Walkers mate, you are on a FOOTBALL forum. You are entitled to your opinion but only on the basis that you have to accept that it will not be as informed as those who witness the subject matter, first hand with their own eyes. This means standing back and using the forum as a source of information gathering rather than a place to challenge the more informed opinions of others. Lastly Fez and Alex would most definitely have meant well in their idea of getting you to the wolves match. As I am sure you are well aware. Very lastly, words in text can be ambiguous - (it sometimes can be taken in a few different ways) and it is easy to take things personally, especially when you are passionate about something like LCFC as I know you are. Some of the boys and girls on here are very bright and good with words.......(some not so much!) and they can tear you to shreds with a few comments if you say the wrong things. Think fast, type slow and things will improve. N.
Tommy G Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 Walkers is consistently sarcastic, moody, petulant, offensive and rude. People don't dislike him because he hasn't ever been to a game, they dislike him because he doesn't present himself on here as a likable person. It's alright him playing the internet-bullying (haha, whatever), sympathy card now that his aggressors can be perceived to have taken it "too far" - but why doesn't he take a look at his attitude in posting since joining and look to try and be less of a dick if he wants to make friends? And if he doesn't want to make friends, might I dare to ask why he's on an internet community forum in the first place? I personally thought the Walkers to Wolves thing was amusing. I'm also confident in the decency of Dave (Fez), James (TPH) and Alex (Kokopops) as human beings and if Walkers swallowed his pride, took it all as a bit of fun and turned up at the Wolves game with a sheepish grin and took a bit of banter on the chin, they'd be all too happy to keep him company at the ground. I suggest, to some of the bigger moaners on here, you turn up to Vicky Park on the 26th/27th (if it goes ahead) and just come and meet a few people. Because behind the keyboards, they're all just fairly sound lads and I think if people toned down the e-dramaz they'd realise that a bit.

Yes i've known that all along, but I don't need to be reminded every time I get something wrong that I havent been to a Leicester game.
Unit Posted 29 December 2007 Posted 29 December 2007 I don't even know who walkers is, nor do I care.

Clearly my lengthy, kindly put attempt to make you understand in a pink and fluffy way that you are a target of your own ignorance has fallen upon the ears of a "victim" rather than someone who could maybe take some points on board about their attitude and defensive behaviour. It's not a case of you getting things "wrong" or confused or making mistakes, it is how your comments are perceived. If I go on a website about real ale having never been in a pub I would expect to get some stick. Get a grip, lad. Go to a football match. Nobody wants to have a go at you, in fact they want to be your mate and take you to a game! PM somebody who's going and see what its all about. Or stop whining. N.
