Top scorer for 3 seasons... Of course he has a place in our team. It will be interesting who will partner Howard up front now, as we also have Campbell coming back, and Fryatt stating his desire to prove his worth. We also look likely to get Hayles aswell

He is absolute dogshit and I still can't fathom out what people see in him?

He has little or no ability and the fact he was "Huuuuuuuuummmmmmmeeeeeeee'd" against Ipswich after he gave the ball away cheaply on the halfway line then had to recover and got us a jammy throw by our own corner flag sums up just how thick some people are. Venture in to the East Stand and listen to people thoughts of him there.

His circus acts and flicks bear us no fruit and his genral play is nothing short of scandelous. When things go wrong or the situation doesn't suit he goes missing, unlike others who are much maligned, at least they have the balls to stand up and face their inablities.

For the money that was spent on him he has been a waste and his continued selection is more of a hinderance than a help to the team.

If he is that good why does he remain at Leicester a relegation threatened club for the last 3 seasons?

14 goals last season? Top scorer this season... Yep, lets get rid of him because hes currently the only one who would run through a brickwall for that shirt... Sounds about right :dunno:

Because that reason is adequate to label him crap then

Humey cares so much about this football club, and the fans love him. He has done well here, 28 goals in over 100 appearances isn't too bad, because I beleive he is a midfielder, not a striker. He shows passion, and real flashes of quality. How many times a have we seen him cross a quality, dangerous ball into the box from nowhere? What about some of his goals. The volley against Southampton, the strike against Watford, the free-kick at Wolves, the lob at Ipswich. He scores blinding goals, Ok he doesn't put away the easier chances, but look at his work-rate. Every high-ball he tries to win, every lost cause he tries to win.

I don't think Hume will go down as one of our all-time greats (but if he does very well over the next few years you never know), but he has been one of the brighter spots of the last wretched four years, and when he leaves the club, deserves a good reception when he comes back.

HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMEEEEE!!

Geordie what a load of rubbish you spout. Steve Walsh made mistakes, Muzzy Izzet made mistakes, Gary Lineker made mistakes, everyone makes mistakes. He is not an awful player as you say, as you have failed to mention some of the goals he has scored for us.

If you are happy with having Elvis or De Vries up front then go ahead.

Freddy Eastwood ?

He's played all his football in lower than the Championship bar one season. He's only just been bought into a middle class championship team now, albeit a slightly better one than ours.

So your telling me Freddy Eastwood isn't good? Hume scored more goals than him.

Good for the team we had/have, yes.

Good for the team we want, no.

He works hard no doubt but he's usually out of position and his touch isn't that good.If it was a choice between getting rid of him or Fryatt he'd be the one to go for me.

As for all this 'he loves the club' just remember that we're paying him a pretty good wage so he ought to. I'm sure if he was sold to another club he'd love that just as much.

Yes......without a shadow of a doubt. I would imagine he would have been the only one not to feel Ollie's shoe leather up the posteria

Top scorer last season, top scorer this season. Almost always fit to play. One hundred per cent effort guaranteed. Why would he of all players not be appreciated?

a) Look at the number of goals he scored

b) Watch out for the times when 100% effort doesn't cut it. Le Tissier would play for five minutes in some matches and would turn them on their heads...Hume can huff and puff for 90 minutes and not change a thing

He is not at the front of the queue to be out of the door in my book, but he is in the queue with everyone else none the less.

Anyone on here trying to claim that he is the best we can get in the positions he plays (by virtue of demanding he stays) are mad.

I've looked at all the players who've worn our shirt for four years and all the players we've been associated with and I don't see anyone who could lace one boot let alone both boots of Matt Le Tissier.

And we wouldn't sign a Matt Le Tissier if he was available. He wouldn't hussle enough. The only genuinely skillful attacking goalscorer we have got is over at Bournemouth and will doubtless disappear off the radar before long...not that he is ever going to be in LeTissier's class.

To me it has long been the key to our misery - this belief that you can assemble a group of terriers and expect them to win enough football matches without the benefit of skilled specialists. And we seem to have had five successive managers with this philosophy.

Surely no one can say no to this??

I just find he's out of position when he plays up front becuase he goes hunting for the ball. He might not do this with better players as he wouldn't need to create things himself. He isn't a prolific striker but he's one of the better players we have.
