Staf Posted 10 January 2008 Posted 10 January 2008 This would be brilliant lets hope it is true looks like Ollie has found the weak links lets get rid of Maybury quickly
MikeyT Posted 13 January 2008 Posted 13 January 2008 I'm surprised no-one has actually made a firm bid for him. It hasn't worked out here, but he could be a fairly solid right-back for a mid to lower championship team. Seeing as he's most likely available on a free just to shift him from the wage bill, you would have thought someone would take a gamble on him. At present we are a mid to lower Championship team! haha
Thracian Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 Ability wise he's the 2nd best right back we've got. Unfortunately after being denied a move to Sunderland a few years back, and the subsequent treatment of him since, he needs a change. What "treatment"?
Flynny Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 What "treatment"? Shunted around the team, given no sustained run in his actual position, that kind of thing. He's a good player, just a bit fragile mentally it would seem, and long finished with this place. Good luck to him.
breadandcheese Posted 14 January 2008 Posted 14 January 2008 At present we are a mid to lower Championship team! haha Sorry, it should have read another mid lower Championship team.

He was shunted around to some extent because it was deemed we had a better player/s in his best position. Kelly played him in right midfield and he was also tried on the left. Bottom line - he was nothing special anywhere. In close season he hardly impressed and against Oadby he looked awful. He had a few games in the reserves, sometimes as skipper and did alright sometimes but never enough to suggest he was deserving of a first team slot. In Preston want him and think they can get more out of him than we do fair enough. We'll do well to be saving his wages.
Leicfox Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 http://www.fansfc.com/frontpage/frontpagen...p?newsid=179611 Going back to Hearts.

He looked a very good player when he first arrived here and not even you can deny that. Of course what happened with this supposed bid from Sunderland none of us know, but his form dipped dramatically after Levein went, I think a fresh start will do us and him good.
Smudge Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Article from The Scotsman http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Maybury-re...-out.3692999.jp
Lester LXXIV Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 He's leeching all the wages he can get from us until his contract expires cos he knows that if he signs for another club the wages will be lower and he'll miss out on all of Milans money!! .....This is only my opinion nobody elses and It is not a necessarily a statement of fact! Cheers!
Lester LXXIV Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 I'm havin a blonde moment!!! Nothin against blondes of course!
Blue Bob Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Article from The Scotsman http://sport.scotsman.com/sport/Maybury-re...-out.3692999.jp Interesting article, looks like Maybury has a chance to move to Hearts. It would seem he wants his contract (6 Months) paying up before he leaves. You would think a player that has hardly kicked a ball over the last year, has been told to stay away from the club and now has a chance of a new contract should grab it with both hands instead of trying to make the most out of Leicester. I appreciate that some will say would you? He has a contract and it should be honoured. Maybe you are right but I hardly think he has been value for money on his contract and should be ashamed of the effort he has put in while he was here. It would serve him right if it fell through!!

Manwell Pablo Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Good for them, they rate him. Rightly so he did a good job for them.
Joe. Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Please take him. He's had his good moments for us but he's had far too many bad ones. We just don't need him.
Jimmy Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Give us what we paid for him and de Vries combined and they can take him
Staf Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 Hopefully he does well and stays there good luck to him
lookwhaticando Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 How many different clubs has he been linked to now? It's kinda like Douglas... SPL one week, League Two the next, emergency loan the following week and then a season long loan soon after. And Hughes... will he, won't he? Is it Hearts or Dunfermline? No, it's actually Motherwell... These Levein signings are so hard to shift... they get linked with everyone under the sun in every different league imaginable and they still don't move! Shit stains really are a pain in the arse to move.
lookwhaticando Posted 21 January 2008 Posted 21 January 2008 It was Preston last week, what went wrong? Who do we reckon is next week's club? My money is on Motherwell or some such team... funny that he's not been linked with Dundee United yet.
