well IF he does go to hearts ... where is that guy who was bigging up scottish football last week and ripping english football?

He cant even get onto the bench of a ) very poor championship team ( come good recently) and he goes into the scottish prem. One would assume their first team.

That says it all.

uh oh thats will spark a reaction, youve just trodden on some soft ground

i agree with your point entirely but there are some on here who back the SPL with the whole of their hearts.

I guess you should go an actually watch some SPL games before you pass judgement right? :D:P

They're different leagues.

Also I don't really think you can compare the two leagues based on one player and two clubs. Espeically in Alan Mayburys case. But hey, snap unfounded judgements based on little evidence are the in thing on this website so don't let me get in the way.

as I've already said, the gulf in class in the SPL is phenominal, at the top you have a team that has in recent years consistently got to the last 16 of Europes Premier club competition, at the bottom you have a team that wouldn't look out of place in the bottom half of League One.

My arguement with you was about Hibernian being good enough to get promoted from the Championship, which they are.

I still don't understand why he was effectively banished. Against Forest Reserves in December he was hung out to dry at centre-half but still acted as if he cared and positively screamed at Sappleton on one occasion to"get on with it". He always gave of his best for the reserves in various positions.

It's a long time since I've seem him sharp enough to compete for a first team place but that was down to being surplus to requirements rather than his personal attitude.

He should have been allowed to move when Sunderland made their offer. City made a mistake and to a great extent he's paid for it.

Shabby treatment to banish him in my view and argely unnecessary.

He'll be happier at Hearts and good luck to him.

He cost us about 50k I think so he hasnt been bad for that fee although Im not taking his wages into consideration! With that said, at least he contributed in soem games but makes far too many mistakes and its best that he fooks off to someone else who may appreciate his lack of talent.

Should of kept him, good luck Maybury.

why he's been in a sulk since we turned down the Sunderland bid and has probably had about 10 decent games all in his 1st half season

I rated Maybury when he first came here but IMO hes had his moments at city now its time for him to move on.

All the best for the future though.

had potential, just think our club is astonishingly poor at nurchering talent.

“I wasn't training down at Leicester, just working on my own,” he told the Edinburgh Evening News.

“Hearts have given me the opportunity to do some proper football training which is really useful because I've not kicked a football in a month or so. I've just been running in the gym and round the parks of Leicester.

“I'm just grateful for the chance to see a football again. It's a good opportunity for me and I wasn't going to miss it.

I think that's an extremely harsh way to treat a footballer. The guy, whilst not the best performer for us, certainly wasn't the worst, despite regularly playing in a leftback position which didn't suit him. He's never complained (I don't think anyway, correct me if I'm wrong), he's never had an attitude problem. I'm really not impressed with that at all.

Quite happy since Hart has gone to Preston and McNamara is clearly past it. I assume Holloway won't be too difficult to deal with in the summer should AFC want to make this permanent? ;)
