If you go to your village centre and click on one of the bare patches you can build stuff. You can upgrade the fields/mines etc. Just read the tutorial, it takes about a minute! That's all I've done! You have to go to the map of the village type thing and click on an empty plot of land. Voila. Build the embassy and we'll have a party over at mine, yeah? Click the register thing and choose server two. I think you need to build an embassy to get in the alliance, I'm not at that stage yet. My granary is taking an age to build. Romans is the easiest for beginners, that's what I picked. I sound like an expert, all I did was read the 60 second tutorial and then a tiny bit about the tribes!
