If you go to your village centre and click on one of the bare patches you can build stuff. You can upgrade the fields/mines etc. Just read the tutorial, it takes about a minute! That's all I've done!

Click the register thing and choose server two. I think you need to build an embassy to get in the alliance, I'm not at that stage yet. My granary is taking an age to build.

I'm torn between continuing to upgrade all my fields/trees/clay etc or building a barracks laster today and stealing resources from the crappy villiages surrounding me
