We haven't been to an away game for ages, and one decent home performance and we're all down the ticket office. What mugs we are. Never been to Norwich before so quite looking forward to it. Hope it's less scummy than the last new ground I went to (Saltergate)

Compleat Angler is a bit of a shit hole but im sure thats one they leave for away fans, although i would say go to either Lloyd's or Norwegian Blue, they are both nearer to the ground and the train station, if you cross the road opposite the station and head left ya cant really miss them.

I'm sure they let away fans in. Hope that helps. Yep, I was gonna suggest the Complete Angler. Directly opposite the station (cross the traffic lights and the river - you're there). Nice 'chilled' atmosphere (generally) and they're fine about away fans. If you're looking for more of a 'real ale' kinda pub head to the Coach and Horses on Thorpe Road (come out of the station to the traffic lights just outside, turn right - effectively heading back on yourself - and it's on the left after about 200 yards. The Rosary just around the corner from the C&H is nice too. Both pubs are friendly towards home and away fans. Avoid the new Riverside complex (near the cinema midway between the station and the ground). It's like chav central... full of 'chain' pubs and, as far as I know, none of them will let you in if you're in away colours. Some of the restaurants there (Old Orleans, Frankie and Benny's etc) are ok if you're desperate for something to eat when you arrive, but generally I'd avoid it.

Well that's just contradicted everything in my post. :laugh: Guess it's up to folks to make up their own minds then. All I will say is that whenever I've been, neither Lloyds or Norwegian Blue will let away fans in. Depends whether you go in 'disguise' or not, I suppose? Marge: perhaps you've had a different experience?
