James. Posted 30 January 2008 Posted 30 January 2008 Give him his own sub forum. Balanced, well informed, respected posters are constantly being drawn into ridiculous debates. It's boring and it's taking over the forum leaving little room for anyone else to offer an opinion. Palace Match Ratings and THAT Lazcko thread being the latest examples. There's constructive debate and then there's reactionary, biased guff that polarises the forum and leaves moderators with little option but to close threads. Unfortunately the latter seems to be taking precedent. This isn't a "I hate Thracian" thread. It's a (small) protest against what I see as a negative yet ever present side to the forum. Agree with me or whatever I'm just getting it off my chest, I'm pretty sure others feel similar. It used to be informative and amusing, now it's just annoying and repetitive. It will drive people away, if it hasn't already. I'm sure of it.

But it would be nice if the mods/admin would delete his duplicate threads which are always on the exact same subject - just put it all in one thread, please? It's also irritating that Thracian says exactly what he likes and poses direct questions to people (such as myself) yet when I try to post an entirely reasonable response, it's deleted. I used to have respect for the mod/admin team as it's not as easy job, but the blatant protection of Thracian and persecution of others does them no favours at all. IT'S OBVIOUS GUYS. It's become a farce, somethings got to be done for our own sanity. Remove his thread-starting ability - that would be a start.

Most the time Thracian’s judgment on players has been right, I just can’t see the point in closing threads if people want to debate their differing opinions about the subject? I don't give fcuk what other people views are, if they want to argue them so be it. Seems the ‘Huuuummeeeee’ ‘Fryatt is a top player’ and ‘Lazcko is better than Ronaldo’ pre pubescent cretin crowd have taken a dislike to me. So what? I just won't post replies to their posts. The problem is that Thracian wants to argue the same point over and over and over again and will drag ANY interesting thread towards either: a) Why Gradel should be recalled. b) Why Sheehan should be playing c) The evils of 'fantasy' Fryatt. etc etc. This ruins the forum because interesting threads are ruined by his samey rubbish. I respect his right to want to discuss these things and to post what he thinks, just think it's stupid that he's allowed to ruin threads by twisting them towards his favoured subjects. There should be a sticky for YOUNG PLAYERS THRACIAN WANTS TO RAVE ABOUT and CHOSEN MEN THRACIAN CANNOT STAND and just stick everything he posts in one or the other.

Well it makes me laugh when you come out with things like that as it's not like we haven't offered positions out. Fez and Daggers have had a go and realised it's not all its cracked up to be and got out quick for their own good! I even gave you a go at it once upon a time. You've got to try and help matters by not replying to every post he makes, I know it's difficult at times but then when it kicks off its all down to admin and mods to sort it out, and then people moan at topics being deleted. Theres a limit to what we can do apart from warn/ban and plead like this

JtB complained about him. Loads of people have complained about him. He ruins the LCFC forum by changing every thread to a campaign to get Sheehan/King/Levi in the side etc. If you can't see that Mark, then I'm afraid it's game over. You're deluding yourself if you think I am the problem. Go ahead - ban me. Thracian will continue to pollute LCFC forum with his bollocks. Tackle the problem rather than trying to make yourself feel big by taking action against me. It's your forum. It's going down the pan at the moment.

There was a thread (which I didn't even contribute to) when Thracian had no less than ELEVEN separate digs at me over a weekend. Several posters even picked up on it and (rightly) slapped him down. Why is no action ever taken? If I mention Thracian AT ALL in a thread, my post is deleted within minutes. I have no reason to mention him, so accept it. But let's be honest, it very much is one rule for him and one rule for the rest of it. To pretend otherwise makes it a complete joke.

It wasn't the end of the world as everyone seemed to make out. I haven't got a big problem with things but sometimes you just need to let off steam.
