(such as myself) yet when I try to post an entirely reasonable response, it's deleted.

You mean like the response you gave the other week about Playground's School's... Sound's very reasonable to me.....

If I remember correctly it was you and a few others that went scuttling off to Talking Balls

And quite frankly, who could blame them? I did the same myself for a while and I'm fast getting to that stage again. The 'protection' given to Thracian compared to others is laughable and blatantly obvious to all who frequent this forum on a fairly regular basis. I agree that some shouldn't rise to his bait quite so readily at times (yes, I'm talking about TPH primarily - but he knows my feelings on this and I don't need to reiterate them again publicly) but, as others have pointed out, Thracian's repetitive, opinionated epic posts are mightily hard to ignore, particularly when he resorts to personal jibes.

You'll be surprised at how many end up doing likewise.

Ah, but unless shrouded in total naivety, it really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Funny how so many people complain about Thracian, making an elephant out of a fly and even going as far as "threatening" to wander off to some other forum just because of his very existence.

FFS, what an imbecile behaviour. It's like a bunch of kindergarten partakers trying to bully the best in class or something.

Ridiculous. I thought you could do better.

We don't have to agree on everything, but let the guy be the way he is.

This post would have carried so much more weight if you hadn't resorted to petty kindergarten name-calling.

Words can be like daggers, Daggers.

But they don't kill.

Rappers do. :D

At first I thought this was a short crescendo from the Swan Lestas but in fact it's mostly the school "victim" putting pressure on Mark that he could do without.

I actually think it's a pity that decent guys like Manwell and Fez should be so disregarded by their so called pal instead of listened to because it's quite obvious they - and I'd include Finnegan in this - would like all to be peace, good humour and reasoned debate on this forum instead of an endless battle of wills between two people who loathe one another.

The answer, as I've suggested to Mark, is that tph and I ignore each other and get on with the rest of our lives. What could be more straightforward or workable than that?

It's also a lot more reasonable than threatening to run off to Talking Balls, with the implied threat of taking your moderator/ex-moderator friends with you every time you disagree with something (as happened briefly) or coming out with typically ficticious claptrap about my getting special protection from the moderators.

Moderators do what they choose. I hardly ever speak with any of them and if I do it is almost invariably about outside matters.

I love this forum, it has helped me make some good mates that I would otherwise not have met.

Furthermore, I think that Mark does a top class job and the mods/admin have a thankless task.

However I think most of us can manage to ignore the comments of most of the posters that we either dislike or think are idiots (just as some no doubt view me) but there is only one person that makes me stay away and not post.

There is only one person who would make me not bother coming back.

That's all well and good providing the two of you can resist cheap shots at each other in your posts. I'm not entirely convinced.

Looks like the Swan Lestas will get a quorum!

As for staying away you're forever posting and have been for years.

You support your mates and always have done.

I'm at just over two posts a day.

I believe it was a lot higher once but I can't be sure.

Most of my posts this year were probably in the FT football match thread where you you probably never posted at all.

That's all I have to say.

Apart from, I support my mates. That's why they're mates, that's what you do for mates.

I'm also critical of my mates when I need to be. That's why they're mates, that's what you do for mates.

It's a farce, a farce I tell you! The TPH Circus! It's a farce.

Don't even get me started on him and his bloody circus.

120 miles I travelled to see that circus of his on Saturday.

20 odd clowns yes but not a bloody Lion or clapping Seal in sight.

I found it rather amusing earlier that Thracian was asking someone if thier post wast bias.

Because Thracian is a shining beacon of all that is unbias right?
